The first indictment against the former president was in the New York City hush money case in March 2023. The second indictment against Donald Trump was in the classified documents probe helmed by Special Counsel Jack Smith. The original indictment was handed up on June 9, 2023 and a superseding indictment was unsealed on June 27, 2023. Last week, a D.C. grand jury voted to indict Donald Trump charging the former president with attempting to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Starting this week, at 4pm ET on Fridays, Lawfare Editor-in-Chief Benjamin Wittes will host a Lawfare Live to discuss the latest developments in the investigations and cases against the former president. Each week he will be joined by Lawfare contributors to provide an in-depth examination of the events of the week.
