JUNE PROGRESS REPORT

Just under the wire, it's my progress report for June! Not a ton to show you today, since most of it is still in the scripting stages, which is why I have posted a photo of me hugging my Uncle's dog very tightly at the top of this post.

THINGS I DID IN JUNE:

• finally finished RGSS (and posted a bonus tiny video for fun)
• celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday (and got to hang out with a lot of dogs)
• did a couple voice things that you won't hear about for years probably
• finalized a non-youtube pilot script/treatment with Karen that we can hopefully shop around now
• kept doing a Pokemon Nuzlocke run on Twitch that is going way worse than I had originally hoped 
• got new health insurance

JULY VIDEO: 

A weird, potentially long-form video explaining the terminology of United States Health Insurance, because boy oh boy is it a mess. I had to finally get my own health insurance after using COBRA for the past year and a half, and it became clear to me that health insurance companies want to confuse you at every step of the process.

So I figured I'd use my (admittedly little) knowledge from this experience to make a primer for anyone else going through the horrific world of PPOs and HMOs and HSAs and yadda yadda yadda. I think this video will be 90% jokes/commiseration about how terrible our healthcare system is and 10% useful knowledge, but hey, that's most of what Unraveled was, so here's hoping people will still enjoy it.

AUGUST VIDEO:

It's horror time again, baby.

I've been thinking a lot about what I want the next horror to be, and I kept coming up with ideas that have been weirder and bigger and harder to produce, which inevitably pushed them further out of reach. 

But Karen and I have a new horror idea that seems completely produceable on our own! Without getting too far into it, it is once again predominantly psychological, technology based, and featuring an untrustworthy narrator. But in a new twist, we might not have me appear in the video at all!

We've still gotta script it and pitch it to our very good actor friends, but I think we should be on schedule for an August publish.
