As France declared war and searched for allies, one power was mysteriously off her potential list. Russia had more than a few reasons to want to see France squirm - Napoleon, after all, had been instrumental in enforcing the 1856 Black Sea Treaties upon him. But did that mean the Tsar would jump at Bismarck's request, or was the relationship between the Iron Chancellor, the Russian ambassador, and the vainglorious Gorchakov bound to complicate matters? Hey Chris, fair question, I know I've been unexpectedly absent. In fact there are two more episodes written, but not recorded, and things have really got on top of me lately. I plan to record today though, sorry for the tardiness!
