Since this is NCT, I figured this was the best place to comment this, but please consider checking out Jungwoo's Sugar. It's his pre-enlistment solo single and it's the most Jungwoo thing to ever Jungwoo, definitely worth checking out π

And a long time has passed and I still think that DREAMSCAPE is still their BEST album ππ

I will definitely wait for your reaction to the rest of the song on RIIZE's Fame - Single and NCT Dream's Beat It Up - EP.

i personally love dream when theyβre doing their refreshing concepts: rains in heaven, when iβm with you, hello future, best friend ever, etc. the last 3 comebacks have, for lack of a better term, been more β127.β i wonder if thatβs intentional, especially since nct now has wish, but i do hope dream continues to mix in those kinda songsβafter istj and smoothie they went to rains in heaven and when im with you, so you never know!

Let's stop talking about heavy things and talk about DREAM again.
This Beat It Up was really my cup of tea, just by looking at the track, without thinking about what we've been doing. (To be honest, the album itself is... well, I don't know. LOL.)
From BTTF to now, I think Jaemin is doing a great job as the center of DREAM. He is definitely shining the most right now. At the fan signing event, Jaemin said he is taking vocal lessons, too. It was nice to see him constantly studying his own progress.
Also, it was noticeable that after Renjun's return, he gradually found his footing with the help of the members when he couldn't keep up with the speed around him, as if he stopped very slowly, sometimes for a while. His presence was clearly visible in this music video as well. (Of course, he was also beautiful in BTTF and CHILLER.)
Thankfully, the comment below mentioned HAECHAN and MARK first. As you said, the two had to do solo activities and 127 activities, so they needed proper activities and proper rest. Most of all, I think the presence within DREAM, which is skewed towards the two, is only now being distributed *lately* evenly. It can be a sad story for Haechan and MARK's favorite person, but I think it's a good direction when you think about the group. They are definitely putting pressure on their bodies and not getting enough rest. (I hope my message is conveyed well. I have no intention of tarnishing anyone. It's an objective evaluation that came out only because I love this group.)

I agree with most of what you said. I don't look for BTTF that much either. I don't watch all K-pop, I only watch NCT. So, I watch 127, DREAM, WayV, and WISH. Even though BTTF's promotions in DREAM were already the best, long, boring, but I could get emotional from time to time with memories. It's neither a compliment nor a curse.
At the time of the promotion, I didn't see all of it in real time, and only after about three days had I seen it very slowly. It was overwhelming to follow, and I had so much to take care of (not just K-pop. My general life!) and I was very tired.
And when BTTF and CHILLER came out, I definitely enjoyed them, but I didn't replay them. I listened to them when they came out as automatic play, and I rarely pressed them myself. I've searched for them a few times, but they're still significantly less than the two albums that came out in 2024. I also listen to and like them more.
I'm also curious about the future direction of DREAM that you mentioned. K-POP trend is gradually disappearing from the identity of repackaged album, comeback with a full-length album, perform short activities for two weeks, and then have a concert right after the concert in Korea. I think this is a problem of K-POP including SM. If the promotion period is too short, the time we can enjoy becomes shorter, right? I have to have enough time to enjoy it, but K-POP as a whole does not allow it in today's society.
Is NCT the only one making a comeback? Absolutely not. A lot of K-pop groups have made several comebacks, and some have solo songs in between. There are even units. It's going to be overwhelming to catch up with them all. I agree with you that you're probably the burnout.

nct dream has been good for me personally, but i was so afraid after bttf and chiller, i didn't create any expectation for this cameback, but i'm glad that i'm actually loving it
