NCT Wish is so great, maybe I’m just an SM girlie but omg they just don’t miss. Somethings definitely in the water over there. Also I know there’s so much NCT music that you’ve probably missed, but you should definitely one day just watch all the old MVs/official performances versions of tracks you haven’t seen, since albums are way too long.

It really reminds me of something that could be in an oec album. that might just be my orbit brain talking tho….. i do honestly wish they added more rap parts for rikusaku especially in a song like videohood. like the extra rap parts aren’t necessary but i think they would’ve added an extra oomph that a song like video hood kinda needed. overall really solid mini, im so excited for their upcoming japanese release early next year, hope you check that out too! :)

2025-10-08 05:15:54 +0000 UTCFINALLY 🥹 i always look forward to your nct wish reactions. also baby blue has a music video!! really gorgeous and melancholic. someone in the comments section for that mv mentioned how much more special the lyrics are once you think about the fact that ryo and sakuya are both eighteen this year, which made the mv feel like a goodbye to everyone’s childhood, which i thought was very moving. i love the wishies so so much!!

Although… huh… I have to say I have tried to listen to the Wishful album as if it was a mini album, therefore without the already released tracks and it works really well, it felt like they just added the singles on it and so if the Wishful album was released as a mini album, it would be really neck to neck with the Poppop one… I cannot choose between this and Steady mini album, but this one feels like the goal was to have a chill/summer vibe comeback, so it is hard to compare for me

2025-10-07 18:38:44 +0000 UTCThe fact that you mention how mellow/blue the whole album was honestly kind of an “ah” moment for me! I wasn’t sure what WISH was going with this direction as most of the outfits for their live stages in COLOR are more or less monochrome blacks, grays, and whites (mostly this!) with the occasional color thrown in— and one last stage where everyone’s wearing, ofc, color. Seems like you’re definitely on the right track PD! For me, COLOR and Baby Blue hit VERY differently with their respective MVs. Honestly, I think I like COLOR better without the MV? It sounds way funkier to me haha. As for Baby Blue, the MV makes a HUGE difference. The song by itself sounds very quirky + upbeat, but paired with Baby Blue’s video makes it seem very hurried + melancholic… I definitely think you’d appreciate Baby Blue’s MV in ways I can’t describe, so I’d say to check that out ASAP Most of the songs here are definitely growers here too— also youre very right about rap line not really getting their moments this album. Sakuya’s and Riku’s raps were definitely my favorite parts in poppop, so I’m hoping they get some good raps next album Otherwise, the vocal layering is >>> for sure. I also feel like WISH’s speciality is sounding very earnest/sincere? The lyrics certainly help too, since theyre just generally very pretty. Just some things to note!
