You should really check out Xinlong's fancam for the lucky macho and the plot twist stages to get a better grasp of his performance style, even though I know you love him. The stage camera never stayed on him enough for people to see his performance style and expressions, which is why many people don't know him as the dancer he is.

Like was it a "vote for your favorite" or "vote yes if you liked the performance, vote no if you didn't"? And if the second, was it like yes vote equals 10 points and a no vote equals -5? Maybe I'm just over thinking it.

2025-09-27 02:58:17 +0000 UTCwatching the sugar high stage again reminded me— mnet purposefully chose a worse cut for the stage they aired (even though this ver is still pretty good). it must have been mixed with a rehearsal cut or smth, just not the one actually done in front of the star creators. bc there was a fully leaked fancam of haneum during sugar high and in that you can hear their vocals way clearer and are more stable + woojin sings sugar high during the 2nd chorus when he doesn’t in this edited version. haneum also looks at woojin in one version and doesn’t in the other one. forget which one was which but yeah, the fancam and the final version are just different. given how mnet wants a dark concept for the final group and the insane 5 rank reveals they did before the 3rd round it’s not really shocking they wanted all the cutesy contestants to look worse lol.

2025-09-24 21:31:28 +0000 UTCthere were people saying not to vote, hell there were ppl cursing in junseo’s face there too. idk if they said it’s not voting time or not though, i didn’t hear about that part either. him just getting low votes bc of being “controversial” now makes sense too given the track record w Leo and sihwan the last round, ppl don’t like to vote for ones w controversy. but the junseo stuff is so blown out of proportion in how ppl are reacting compared to what he did even if you take the edit at face value. like at worst he didn’t help w choreo and made donggyu stressed out. in return, these kfans are…. hating on him, giving him death threats irl, during their live streams, on twt, harassing fans who have junseo in their ideal lineup and telling them to take him out, etc etc. mnet also editing him out fully after bad too so he can’t change that neg impression…. like I really wonder what these people want from him atp it’s a terrible position to be in

That’s what someone who was there claimed, and idk if it’s true, but if it is… that’s seriously foul play

They rely so much on other members and are outstanding in one specific position which makes them good, but also very weak at the same time. For me they all should practice like 1-2 more years and then try again either in their label or a new survival show (they are also all quite young so they don't need to hurry)

2025-09-24 05:37:35 +0000 UTCi honestly think the kangmin and hengyu situation was partially scripted. when they were in the practice room and kangmin was helping hengyu. he was getting frustrated and after everything he said he looked toward the staff behind the cameras. i honestlly feel that they couldve handled the "resolution" better than what they did. the editting made it seem like kangmin was being an a** towards hengyu and same with the masters. i understand, kinda, the "no sympathy" part but they didnt have to come across that way. The wya mnet likes to drag things out and create drama just pmo. its really irritating so ive been trying to ignore it lol. honestly so scared for ep 12 😬 still have to watch it.

2025-09-24 04:06:58 +0000 UTCthere’s a fine line on these shows (and in life) between brutal but necessary honesty/criticsm or tough love vs just being mean, and the way hengyu was talked to actually made me feel physically sick :/ i’m not holding it against kangmin, we all say and do shit we shouldn’t when we’re under a lot of stress. but the general attitude towards him was just very icky

2025-09-24 04:03:12 +0000 UTCSugar High was good but I think could’ve been great, I don’t think the song had as many levels as I wanted it to, like I’m a sugar bubble gum pop girlie to the end but the song itself lacked energy and kinda stayed at one tone the whole time with a minor dance break, I wish they were given more POP to it you know, and it didn’t give them a lot to work with in terms of complex vocals or choreo that could’ve made it as competitive with the other groups, if you’re gonna go bright then you gotta do it 100% if its a mission concept, not the trainees fault it’s just production, it’s just a little too laid back when I would need something with more energy for a survival show

2025-09-24 02:57:20 +0000 UTCThat moment of the episode really sucked to see, and disappointing that it went down like that, I don’t hold any ill will, everyone seems fine after and it is very clearly a moment of bad judgment and built up desperation—I definitely understand how Kangmin got to that place but that doesn’t mean I’d agree with his handling of that at all and it just sucked; I see people pointing out the difference of how the masters treated Junmin just the previous mission, I also found it just a bit suspect but I’m giving benefit of the doubt that we don’t see everything from the edit, benefit of the doubt from nuance I don’t get through translation, do I wish they were more kind to Heng Yu? Fucking absolutely. I don’t think they’re wrong in saying you got to grit your teeth but hopefully the way the said it was more compassionate or at the least more neutral than scolding in how it came across. The hill I will die on though is that never in the history of time has the “yelling at someone to stop crying” ever worked. If Heng Yu had taken the full day prior to the mission stage I’d understand, but he already heard the harsh truths from the masters and should’ve been given idk AT LEAST the 30 minutes after to let his emotions finish processing instead of getting double downed on in the middle of a breakdown? I didn’t even make sense from a 100% strict let’s get production moving standpoint, bc again, what do you think scolding will do to someone in shambles? You can’t just turn your emotions off when the anxiety is this bad, and if you want the actual best performance for your team then THE QUICKEST ROUTE is to let them get it out and bolster up their self esteem, even if you take it from a logical perspective, someone who is emotionally unstable and vulnerable is going to need a longer time to get over further harsh comments then letting them work through it. I think people just related a lot whether they have anxiety depression or even a panic attack before and they are scolded to “just stop being like that” and it just makes one spiral much more. Again I will give benefit of the doubt that it’s a moment of desperation, and it’s not a pattern of behavior, it sucked, but I will take the two at their word that there’s no hard feelings afterwards or they were able to work through it.
