2025-11-08 01:05:41 +0000 UTCThank you for reacting to his new album. It's such a positive, feel good body of work. His voice is amazing. I can't wait to see how his sound develops moving forward. He has the voice for rock, trot, pop, R&B/soul, and musicals. Whenever BIGBANG members release music, I feel satisfied but also excited for more. I'd love for Daesung to experiment with new genres next. Recommendation: Please react to Daesung's Lee Mujin Service episode. I have a feeling you'll like it.

2025-11-06 20:03:25 +0000 UTCHi PD, I've been waiting for your Daesung album review for so long, and glad that it finally came out!! I really enjoyed your review. It was really interesting because a lot of your thoughts and emotions were similar to mine throughout the whole album. I'm a Korean VIP and because I've been to his solo concert and have been following his works, I'd like to add some explanations to your review. As far as I know, Daesung is really fond of, and was eager to do rock music for a long time, but there weren't many opportunities in BIGBANG since most of BIGBANG's music is based on hiphop (and even in songs like STUPID LIAR, or Love Song, he only has a few lines as you mentioned in the video) So when this album came out, fans were really happy for him because it seemed like the thing he always wanted to do. He even said this EP is the album that will suggest the direction of the music he's gonna do from now on. The 5th track JUMP as Daesung says, was specifically made for a performance to hang out and interact with the crowds. You might feel less connected compared to the other songs because it was made for a concert to vibe with the crowds perhaps? And the 7th track Wolf, is a song that was made at the time when Daesung was hesitating to leave YG and move to another label. Sunwoo Junga wrote the song after hearing his concerns and worries. Daesung also said he was really encouraged by the song. I was really impressed that you noticed that in the music! (Btw, Sungwoo Junga was previously a YG producer.. that's why she has so many connections to YG artist's songs) Anyways, thanks again for a great review! I was curious what others thought about this album because there aren't many reviews on this album. I seriously thought this was the album of the year when I first heard it because all of the songs matched Daesung's vocals so well!

2025-07-27 05:27:03 +0000 UTCHmm… he released 3 Japanese mini albums and 2 full length albums, so this is not his second mini album of his whole discography. Or at least I am confused what you meant by that

2025-07-24 15:16:58 +0000 UTCI still cant believe this is only his 2nd mini album either! Just goes to show what waiting for this type of artistry rewards us with! What is it about second gen artists?!?! Him, Onew, JaeJoong ect.... their voices are just pure talent and they just age like fine wine. Jaejoong also has an amazing rocker voice! I'd love for you to check out one of his albums! Daesung has always been one of my ults since day one of me finding kpop. I loved this from him so much and expected nothing less! Wolf is also my favorite along with Fly Away. I cant wait to hear more of this from him!

2025-07-24 11:32:57 +0000 UTCIt is hard to say if we are going to get another piece of discography from him any time soon. By any time soon I mean like within this decade… because DaeSung is the type of guy, who may think: “Huh… it is 2035? Hmm, that sounds like the perfect moment to release my second Korean mini album!” I was not as surprised as you were with this mini album’s sound, because his Japanese music is close to this. The thing is I have hard time remembering the Japanese names of those songs, because… well… as one wise woman said: “Japanese language is hard.” 😎😎 And so… on streaming it is not always transcripted and although I remember A FEW hiragana characters, Japanese thought: “Nah.. we cannot let others have it as easy as in the case of Korean and so we must throw there kanji and katakana…” And because of that I “know know” only some of his Japanese music, I can definitely recommend Shut Up: on https://youtu.be/dz7V_0gZJzA?si=4gHv2a_ViXv08Mqh But I think there is no song like WOLF!! Wolf and Jump are my most favorite tracks here for sure! I like Jump purely for its interesting and playful nature. Obviously I had to check the lyrics (the translation of it) later on, so my first time experience was different than yours. But Wolf is the perfect embodiment of him as a person. I mean in the actual and personal aspect. Like… for example Look At Me Gwisun is the embodiment of “Zip DaeSung DaeSung”, but Wolf represents who he really is in the inside. Also another factor for him regarding releasing music after YG is that he does not have or did not have for some time his own studio, where he could record any time for unlimited amount of time. He talked about that in Zip DaeSung with Dara, who also released her first Korean mini album after YG, and both agree it is somewhat “you can do anything you want”, but things like these make it complicated + you have to have a producer, who can take care of the whole process, so this time for both of them it was not just about going to studio and singing/suggesting ideas here and there. Dara herself mentioned she struggles to find her own sound. In the case of DaeSung he clearly knows his sound, so HOPEFULLY we can leave the “inactiveness” of BIGBANG behind and start a new chapter for all 4 of them! I have personally always wanted a unit of G-Dragon and DaeSung, because G-Dragon had units or songs with the rest of BIGBANG, but we never got something like G-Double D (although this name is probably not the best idea 😅😬). Anyway! Thank you for this listening party & MV reaction! Since he has always been the least popular member (excluding Japan), this comeback of his is not on the same level of hype as TaeYang’s, G-Dragon’s and most likely T.O.P.’s, I always appreciate, when people pay attention to him. He even created an alter ego of his (D’splay), which was mainly active during his hiatus and it is literally him having a YouTube channel covering BIGBANG’s songs on drums, while having a red hat (there goes the reference, when he has it in Zip DaeSung, when rookies appears there and he is like their teacher), but he wears the hat in a way that it covers his face, so he pretends it is not him and he presents himself as the biggest fan of DaeSung and literally EVERYBODY from his working crew, his friends and even other idols go along with the joke and consider them as two different people 😹😹😹😹 If anyone is interested, here is 맨정신 (Sober) cover of his: https://youtu.be/eRyQmqgxwWk?si=fRSDqQEwgqezOc0o
