For the live vocals part i agree. But at the same time, Japanese people or should i say jpop in general?.. sounds much better in live stages. If you look at Yoasobi, LiSA, Aimer, Fujii Kaze etc any other artist on stage, they sound amazing. They don't need any backvocals to support them. Kpop idols' live stages for japanese songs also have that. Japanese has a relatively simple and consistent syllabic structure. Also pronunciation is softer and more evenly spaced, it’s often easier to sustain notes without struggling with consonants. Korean on the other hand has complex syllables that can end in consonants, making it harder to enunciate smoothly while singing can be tricky to pronounce clearly in a melodic way. My first BTS song was I Need U-- in Japanese :D Sounded amazing, and tbh all of the Japanese version of kpop songs sound amazing in live, if you're not really used to the song in Korean.

2025-02-04 06:25:35 +0000 UTCALL of them have been just incredible lately!! K is just becoming a demon dancer and Maki is entering another level too. Illumination is my favorite from these 3. Deer Hunter choreo is so beautiful and I want to see it live one day more than anything! Deer Hunter and Under The Skin are my top two choreos from them so far!!

Super cute. Edit: I watched this again a few days later and I have to mention that you humming along to Illumination was so sweet, PD!

I thought these would be nice to watch since they do showcase the choreographies, and since &TEAM have yet to release dance practices. &TEAM to me are one of my Kings of Synchronization of 5th Gen. &TEAM’s live vocals and synchronized choreographies are a chef’s kiss.
