I really recommend checking out a live stage to really see the choreography points, if you have the time at any point! Rui's dance training is really utilized.

There are some other Boys Planet groups/solos you have missed out on: Better known groups Ampers&One (Kamden, Brian, Jiho) TIOT (Minseoung, Keonhee, Junhyeon, Woojin) TOZ (Haruto, Anthonny, Takuto, Yuto) These ones would definitely be worth checking out Mildly known solo or groups LE'V (Wang Zihao) ONLEE (Seunghwan) B.D.U. (Jay Chang) Waterfire (Wumuti) These ones would be nice to check out Less known or more indie LOONG9 (Ollie, Chen Liang) CongB (Cong) KJRGL (Riku, Hojin) Chen Jianyu (Jianyu) 3WAY (Wooseok) I wouldn't mind it you skipped these Some people will also debut like POLARIX (Daeul) Close Your Eyes (Yeojun, Ma Jingxiang) Newkies (Honghai) And some are still competing in a show called Universe League Cha Woongki and Zhang Shuaibo Also, you missed the fact that Hyunmin of ARrC is Hyunbeen of Boys Planet but i don't blame you for that. That means that all of Jellyfish (Hyunbeen, Gunwook, Yuseop and Yeojun) have debuted

You’ve reacted to them a couple times but they have a whole solo project ‘undergrOund idOl’ where every member released a song with a music video and they all involve lgbt themes, with correlating stories. LOVE the song and the group is AMAZING. the concept has a lot of visual binaries - black and white of the chessboard, two doors marked "exit", school uniforms vs the androgynous styles they are wearing in other scenes etc... there is also a clear "we are performers and you are the audience" scene when they're dancing in front of classmates with their backs turned to US, the actual (heh) audience. except, of course, gender itself is a performance, and those who don't see this are still asleep (like in that early shot of the classroom). OH - and the negative shot, with the four of them on the "chessboard" and wumuti fallen to the ground and then absent from the next shot of the same space - i think that was an acknowledgment of those who defy gender norms but are tragically destroyed by their social environment (a chess piece does not fall by itself, it is knocked over). but they deliberately show a happy ending in their music video - i think it's implied that wumuti points at a third door and then they all finally walk/fly out into freedom. aaaaaahhhh i am just SO HAPPY to see this concept done so thoughtfully at the start of 2025!!!

It feels like they went above and beyond to pull the creativity out of the few set pieces they had which shouldn’t work, gray walls and box sets aren’t new but it works in their favor with their concept of bringing color and breaking out of the norms of society AND the shot choice to shoot them from behind was ELECTRIFYING and having the peak of gendered norms, high school, being faceless spectators ogling but not impressed by their performance of themselves in a genderLESS manner I just wow so inspired

Also I discovered that Rui idolises Ten from Wayv and I totally see it in that drop and the leg movement near the start of the video.
