Drakkenheim Podcast Update!

Hello Patrons!

We have been working hard recently to make Drakkenheim available as an audio podcast.
Kyle has been doing fantastic work editing the entire series thus far for podcast release, including remastering the audio for every episode

If you’re been following the series, you’ll know that there are a few episodes in which the audio was not perfect. We’ve made many technical improvements since the early episodes, and so we want to make sure these early episodes sound great when we release them to podcast platforms. We hope that the Drakkenheim Podcast will be a great new way for you to enjoy Dungeons of Drakkenheim!

Please help us out by listening to this 10-minute sample from Episode 1 of Dungeons of Drakkenheim. We’d like to hear your feedback, including:

Thank you all so much. Please send us your feedback here on Patreon, or by messaging us directly on Discord! Expect Dungeons of Drakkenheim to be available on major podcast platforms this summer!

Cheers

Sound is on par with other gaming podcasts, better than most of them.

Brant Finstad

sounds very good! using crappy headphones on a windows laptop.

Monty is good as well as Kelly, Joe is a little loud or harsh and Jill is a little quiet not as sharp or clear. I am using Samsung Galaxy Tab speakers.

Daniel Gray Webb

Sounds great on Laptop speakers, Shure 315's and Beyerdynamics, the level is good. I'm a big fan and I've listened to every episode on youtube thus far.... My only audio-related opinion throughout was that the speech could do with a bit more Limiting / Compression to even-out low-level off-mic discussion (too quiet) and the laughter (too loud in comparison). I'm guessing this is what you've already done with this snippet?

I think it sounds great on my iPhone XS speakers as well as on the AirPods.

Sounds good to me. Beats Studio3

I listened on my iPod speaker. It sounds good too my wife and I. We both enjoy the adventures of this trio on the streets of Drakkenhiem!

Darrin Skyberg

Sounds great to me. I listened with Sennheiser HD 280 headphones, as well as JBL Creature speakers. Like Frank, I can nitpick over the occasional pops and faint hiss, but they don't distract from the otherwise strong audio range. Even the whisper at 2:27 came through cleanly.

Daniel Chan

Sounds phenomenal on headphones, I have Logitech G430s. Also sounds fine on speakers, have a 2.1 setup. The mic definitely does pick up some Ps popping, but I think that's just the audio when you guys started and it got better as the series went on. As a whole, it's very listenable. There is a very, very small slight hiss, but again, it's not distracting and barely noticeable unless you're actively looking for it.

Frank

I've got to say "pluto jackson" is a bit too low with his helmet but withouth it it's good. Of course, not everyone was used to talking that much into a game which is what I like about you guys, you adapted well and fast. Even the DM is now way more specific and descriptive then before. I believe that for a first episode, it rocks. Well adapted for audio only :)
