Kelly and Monty will be live streaming Saturday at 4 PM on http://twitch.tv/Dungeon_Dudes! We'll be taking any questions you might have about roleplaying games in general, but we'd love to focus the topic on STARTING A NEW CAMPAIGN and BRAINSTORMING ADVENTURE IDEAS.
While you can ask questions live on air, we'd like to invite Patrons at the Hero level and above to send us your questions IN ADVANCE so that we can make answering them on the stream our top priority. Of course, if you have more questions during the stream, ask away, but we'll do our best to prepare super-sweet answers to your pre-submitted questions.

We hope to make this a regular thing, possibly monthly. The idea will be to collect patron-submitted questions in advance when the stream is announced. The stream will be open to everyone. We want to make sure you, our Patrons, are first in line to ask questions!

Are there any chance of another one if these? Not that I have many questions But to have the live chat and have the few I answer would be awesome. You two have been in my house for the last three months every day. My Wife knows you. I brag to my friends about you. I send My DM to your site. It is wierd feeling like you know someone like they have been in your house and they have no idea who you are. :) I am starting to write down any questions in case you have another Q&A I imagine why you would not if you have only one or two atthe Heroes level. But I am Waiting for the Testing Phase for Us Legend Level guys!

2018-08-21 16:59:10 +0000 UTCI'm really excited - Saturdays are my days off, so I'll get to hang with the dudes and then play my regular weekly game! I have some new DM questions: 1. What method do you use for creating a new campaign? What sort of tools do you use for world creation/design, map making, etc? This is a stumbling block for me right now. 2. How do you bring all the elements of separate plot hooks/arcs and things together to form a coherent story? 3. Would you at all recommend trying to include existing modules into a campaign for a new DM in order to try to get the hang of things? I don't really know what I'm doing and am going to try to incorporate The Lost Mine of Phandelver into my game world, so that I can sort of learn how to set up plots and maps and that sort of thing, before setting my players loose on an unsuspecting world.

2018-08-15 20:23:23 +0000 UTComg first Q&A and it's during the one weekend of the year I'm gonna be on vacation. FIGURES! haha. I'll make the next one! I have a few questions I can send though: 1. As a DM, how do you go about choosing a group for a new campaign? Everyone wants something specific out of a DnD game, and you definitely want to build around that. Is it easier to find the group first, then build the campaign? Or to make a campaign you really want to run, and then find people who'll fit it and maybe adjust it a bit? 2. New DM etiquette: If you, an experienced DnD DM and/or player are playing in a persona's first campaign, what are your tips for helping them out without being overbearing? Walking that line of "want to help them understand the game and keep it fun" but also "don't want to take the wind out of their sails." Thanks guys!! Good luck with the stream!
