never noticed these prelims episodes to be more on the perspective of the "outsiders", that's a cool observation! I can't spoil much, but it's a contrast to the upcoming matches. Can't wait for the next few episodes!!!

2024-11-29 18:52:02 +0000 UTCI remember when the kiyoko scene happened and being SO UNCOMFORTABLE it’s an unfortunately real moment and ik they’re the team for next match but I couldn’t vibe with them at all BC DONT BE A CREEP ITS SO SIMPLE, also something I’ve noticed, it’s such a small detail but so apparent to me especially as a woman, to recognize that Kiyoko has no problem being more stern or aggressively turn down creepy guys IF it’s regarding Yachi; if she sees Yachi being cornered she will help get her out BUT FOR HERSELF Kiyoko will not feel it’s as necessary to be more firm or thinks the situation will end quicker if she’s more polite/nicely declines AND I JUST THINK ITS INTERESTING AND TELLING FOR HER CHARACTER, bc she is more introverted and quiet but she is at her most bold trying to help others ALSO I think this is a real dynamic I see often in real life where women who find it difficult to rage out on their own behalf, will still not hesitate to protect other girls and friends from a creepy situation ; I don’t think the mangaka meant for this deep a commentary but I think, like the rest of the characters, kiyoko is a good observation of real life people and maybe it’s something the mangaka just picked up subconsciously about women’s behavior operating in the world of having to “be nice” so something worse doesn’t happen, but feel more free to be more firm if other girls are in danger, AND her and yachis relationship/bond has that depth

2024-11-29 15:24:23 +0000 UTCIt’s crazy how technical hq gets, especially the further we get into the story, and still learning about the tempos and minus tempo never gets confusing, they manage to explain SO WELL for the average person in a way that also is so easily integrated into the story
