If you listened to the BIGBANG and 2NE1 b-sides, you can familiarized the beats and melodies has been used for some songs in the album. Because MASTA WU and CHOICE37 has been worked with 2NE1 before. Anyway, i really love this album so much.

I am glad you feel the same that this is like the moment of: “AND now we are starting!” Because this could have been their debut, because this is what the Last Evaluation showed us they are capable of! But at the same time this whole journey with them made me appreciate BABYMON7ER (the mini album) a lot and I guess it will always be an iconic part of their discography, because it was the moment of them being all 7 together again! Also… regarding Batter Up Remix or Batter Up in general. This bonus track being at the very end of this album and this album being released nearly a year after Batter Up, it all makes it feel like coming full circle, but this time I am SUPER INTO Batter Up Remix (in the comparison of how neutral I felt with Batter Up a year ago). Which is so shocking to me, because I am not into Kpop remixes, but apparently Baemon will be the big exception (I liked Stuck In The Middle Remix too), and when I heard this Remix through fan cams from their concerts/fan meets, I immediately thought: “THEY HAVE TO RELEASE IT OFFICIALLY!!” I hope they keep on doing this (to include a remix of a song from a previous album…), because I want the rock version of Sheesh from Inkigayo/Mnet being released officially too! Also interesting fan fact to this… At first, Batter Up was a song without Ahyeon. Then there is the 7 members version with Ahyeon joining them on chorus. But then they released a Japanese version of Batter Up, where Ahyeon got her own line and Batter Up Remix follows the distribution of the Japanese version + the whole song sounds so fresh and different that it makes me feel like this journey/evolution of Batter Up intentionally reflects the journey of Baemon for the past year. And by the way… Asa participated on the lyrics for Batter Up and apparently she is into composing too, so hopefully she gets involved way more later on! Regarding my favorite track of this album (I don’t count Clik Clak, Drip and Forever, because I get influenced by the music video a lot). Obviously Batter Up Remix is the way to go, but it feels a bit unfair to the other songs. Therefore I am choosing between Billionaire, Love In My Heart and Woke Up In Tokyo. And… Woke Up In Tokyo is truly unique case, because I totally get why people may not like this type of song and I was also surprised at first, but I easily started to like that a lot. Yang Hyun Suk said he initially did not want to give them solos or unit songs so early on of their career, but to be honest this song would not have worked the way it works if it is just Asa and Ruka! But at the same time I feel bad saying my the most favorite track is the song with only two members 😅 So I choose Love In My Heart, because that is the type of song, which makes me say: “I have already wanted to attend their concert regardless of any song, but this song makes me want to witness it being performed live!!” (Along with Batter Up Remix obviously… as I said I knew this song through fan cams and I can hear their adlibs even in the studio version, because of how many times I played those fan cams 😅😅). I thought I would say Really Like You, because I was actually looking forward to Really Like You a lot, because Yang Hyun Suk mentioned it would be 90s hip hop coded song, which it is, but I thought it would be something like Seo Taiji and Boys or Drunken Tiger 90s hip hop song, something like Topline by Stray Kids. I guess that is all from my side 🤔🤔 Oh, yeah! I hope in the future we get a song “Woke Up In Bangkok” performed by Pharita and Chiquita!

2024-11-28 04:27:13 +0000 UTCi personally love all the songs on this album so it's hard to pick a favorite😭 in terms of standouts, i feel like ahyeon, rukasa, along with rora and pharita really made more of a mark in this album. that isnt to say rami and chiquita didn't, more like i wasn't surprised by how well they performed on every song LOL. plus it was great hearing more of rora's versatility on this album since she is my bias. really looking forward to their future songs and what else they'll be showing off! i had to prevent myself from yelling at 12am when i first heard "Love, Maybe" (im more of a vocal person so i was losing my mind!) im really looking forward to seeing all of these performed live (especially the dance for BILLIONAIRE). definitely gonna see them on their world tour when they come to the US in february!
