How to craft tasty, beautiful soul guitar parts

The basic concept is to create double stops using the major or minor pentatonic scales. You can just play the scale that fits the key and use your ear to find what works, or if you want to get more sophisticated you could try thinking about each chord in the progression and try to tailor your note choice to fit each chord as it goes by.
