Early Access?
Added 2016-07-08 08:20:14 +0000 UTCHey there! I see a lot of other creators offering early access to their content for Patreon backers. Would you be interested in having my videos posted here as soon as the upload finishes?
Usually, i upload and publish right after i finish editing, so it currently wouldn't make as much of a difference, but as i'm moving towards a more planned-out and regular release schedule, there might be more opportunities for a sneak peek.
Let me know what you think!

Dont need early access too.

2016-07-23 03:06:41 +0000 UTCI don't feel a need for early access either. I just want to support content creators with my limited budget and I'm good with that :)

2016-07-08 19:16:01 +0000 UTCPerks are nice, but that's not the reason I support creators. Your videos are an education and an inspiration for me, that's the reason I give the minor amount I do

2016-07-08 18:14:15 +0000 UTCwhile I appreciate early access, I ALSO know how many times I hit publish...then immediately see that last typo or factual mis-statement....and I like you for your factual statements. Take as long as you reasonably need to keep the quality up and I'll get in line with everyone else.

2016-07-08 17:47:53 +0000 UTCIt is nice that you are thinking about means to reward your strongest supporters. But early access is probably not the best way to go about it, as it would not make a difference. I would agree for the most part with Mr Spengler that the really trivial support I provide is well worth the difference your knowledge adds to my printing capabilities. OTOH, I wouldn't complain about some extra content. But it is not necessary to satisfy my valuing of your YouTube channel -- just me being greedy for more of what you know.

2016-07-08 14:49:46 +0000 UTCHi, As a patreon, i don't really care for early access, what matters to me is to support your excellent work, and for you to be able to keep working on it as you do. Once it's done, everyone should be able so see it right away :) All i all, i wouldn't mind if you consider that it helps you in some way, but i'm not looking forward to have early access, only access :)

2016-07-08 13:50:23 +0000 UTCEchoing other responses, I'd prefer you share your videos with the community as soon as they're finished. As a Patreon supporter, I don't expect anything special in return. The occasional behind-the-scenes video that doesn't require your usual polish would be more interesting from my perspective than early access to 'public' videos.

2016-07-08 13:48:42 +0000 UTCHi Tom, a nice idea and thanks for trying to add value to your Patreon backers :-) - I think it would only be a benefit to all if you wanted pre-feedback on any content before publishing it en masse

2016-07-08 13:31:00 +0000 UTCIf it adds to you workload, then no. If it is something that might have more select interest and not the general community, then a special issue or to discuss thing with only serious followers, they those might be patreon only posts. ... I hope this helps!

2016-07-08 13:21:55 +0000 UTCI think you should only consider it for not perfectly finished videos, if you think it would help you to get some feedback for a specific topic before you publish it. We want you to produce as many good videos as possible and don't care about being the first one to see them.

2016-07-08 12:14:42 +0000 UTCI agree with Martin and Jonathan, we didn't subscribe for perks but to support what you're doing anyway, I've always felt like early access content just creates a kind of elitism that I've always found distasteful.

2016-07-08 10:54:58 +0000 UTCI would rather get funny outtakes as a bonus rather than early access. The finished video is good because it's finished. I'm not sure how much early access would bring.

2016-07-08 09:50:30 +0000 UTCThis would mean making your Service worse artificially. Patreon Backers do not "buy" anything. They help you keeping up your good Service and make it even better, not worse. And not only for them but for everybody. How selfish is asking for a paywall because you pay?

2016-07-08 09:42:38 +0000 UTCi think early access would be cool. It would also be a chance to offer comments that would make the final product better. Maybe !! I understand the "can of worms" aspect if everybody pitches in on every video but if early comments were given to you on a "take it or leave it" feedback basis then who knows Don't get me wrong, i find your videos great but there's often a moment where i think a little more info or back ground would make them even better . Thanks for asking

2016-07-08 09:31:34 +0000 UTCi personally support your channel for the content as that's probably the best in YouTube at present. I would love for you to release exclusive content on building a printer from scratch, design files, tips and tricks, giveaways (old stuff maybe :).. Rather than having early access, I anyway catch your videos after a day or so

2016-07-08 08:46:57 +0000 UTCThanks, but your video must still like this, same for every body in same time...Your Q ans A you do for us ist ok

2016-07-08 08:46:36 +0000 UTCI would not hold back content, sneak peak would be nice to see what is coming

2016-07-08 08:44:51 +0000 UTCSure ! It will also draw in more funders,, b/c,, well,, who doesn't like to be first in line :) Feel free to also post any random thoughts, rants, or just typical behind-the-scene footage that doesn't make it in to final production editing.

2016-07-08 08:41:58 +0000 UTCAll I'm interested in is more frequent content.

2016-07-08 08:37:23 +0000 UTCI would say you shouldn't have additional work for Patreons and also i don't want any benefits. Main main goal in supporting you is so you can keep up the good work you are already doing - at best for everyone.

2016-07-08 08:31:56 +0000 UTCI´m not interested in any benefits just for being a Patreon. Just wanted to give something back.

2016-07-08 08:26:18 +0000 UTCYeah, man. Early access is an easy way to offer that much more value to your patrons. Even just an hour or so still feels special.
