v0.1.20 Roadmap & Public Release News!
Added 2025-08-22 11:27:29 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
I wanted to share some good news. Thanks to your early support and feedback, v0.1.19 Alpha is now officially live for everyone on F95zone! These public releases are made possible by you, and I really appreciate the support.
Now that the latest version is out in the wild, I want to give you an exclusive look at what's next. For those of you who have finished the current content and are wondering about my plans, I want to assure you that I have a clear vision for the next update, v0.1.20 Alpha. My goal is to make the world of Homefront Bound deeper, more dynamic, and full of surprises.
Here’s the roadmap for what I'm currently working on:
More Dynamic Characters & Interactions: I plan to revamp some of the dialogues for our main characters. The goal is to add more depth and nuance to your interactions, enriching these moments with new visuals and GIFs to make each conversation feel more alive and reactive.
An Expanded Encounter System: The world needs to feel less predictable. To achieve this, I'll be expanding the random encounter system significantly.
New Locations: Encounters will no longer be limited to the Park and Commercial Zone. Expect the unexpected to happen inside the house and in other areas you frequently visit.
Meaningful Skills: I'll be adding more encounters that require skill checks, making your choices in character development have a real impact on what you can see and do.
New Opportunities: Some of these new encounters may even branch off into mini-quests, introducing you to new NPCs or unlocking previously hidden locations.
My Core Focus: Replayability & A Living World: To be transparent, my main focus for v0.1.20 will not be heavily on Week 2+ of the main story. Instead, I want to pour my energy into adding more randomness and surprising outcomes to the places you visit most (like the Gym, the Cafe, and the paths you travel). This will make the world feel more alive and ensure that every playthrough offers a fresh experience.
UI & Technical Fixes: I'm exploring how to add a "Quests" tab to the UI to help you track your objectives. I'm still figuring out the best way to implement this while keeping the current compact, clean look. And, most importantly: the "save file does not belong to this game" error should now be a thing of the past! (Yes, I've stopped changing the project's name with every update, so your saves will be safe going forward.)
Your support is what drives this project forward, and your feedback is the most valuable tool I have for making Homefront Bound the best it can be. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Stay tuned for the next update! I'll be announcing the target release date for v0.1.20 in the next few days.
