A Look at the Next Update: A More Alive World & Your Control

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all enjoying the latest version. I've been reading your feedback and diving straight into development for the next update, and I wanted to share what the main focus is going to be.

The core philosophy for this next patch is to make the world of Homefront Bound feel more alive, dynamic, and unpredictable. To achieve this, a significant portion of my time is being dedicated to creating and implementing a wide variety of random encounters. You'll start finding new, small story moments and situations popping up in the Commercial Zone, the Park, and other locations. The goal is that every trip out of the house will have the potential for a surprise.

A big part of this is also about giving you more control over your experience. I'm implementing two major new features in the settings menu:

On top of that, I'm adding a quality-of-life feature that I think will make playing much smoother: keyboard controls for links. Each link on the screen will be automatically numbered (e.g., [1], [2], [3]), and you'll be able to simply press the corresponding number on your keyboard to select that option.

In terms of the main story, this next update will add the second option for the first week's task: the mission involving the mechanic, Vince. I want to make sure this path is as fleshed out as Chloe's, so for now, I don't plan on starting the second week's main story just yet.
