DIY RAINBOW FOUNTAIN!
Added 2025-06-24 18:14:10 +0000 UTCDecided to pound every pyrotechnic color I've made (as well as some titanium glitter mix) into one fountain, and the results weren't disappointing!
In case you're curious about the compositions:
Titanium glitter: 44% potassium nitrate, 33% titanium, 11% charcoal, 6% sulfur, 6% dextrin
Red, green: 50% ammonium perchlorate, 35% nitrate (barium for green, strontium for red), and 15% red gum
Orange: 55% ammonium perchlorate, 15% sodium nitrate, 15% strontium nitrate, 15% red gum
Yellow: hard to say, but it's roughly 55% ammonium perchlorate, 15% red gum, and the rest is a mix of sodium, barium, and strontium nitrates
Blue: Shimizu blue #2, 66.5% potassium perchlorate, 13.4% copper oxide, 9.9% red gum, 5.4% parlon, 4.8% dextrin
Purple: 53% ammonium perchlorate, 20% strontium nitrate, 12% copper oxide, 15% red gum
