Friends-Only Episode 52: Where Evil Lives (Part Two: Apocalypse)

It took a little longer than we were planning on, but we come back to The Only Franchise Which Matters with a super fun one on what I think could be described as not exactly first-tier Resident Evil.  Come for the reminders to try to shoot for the head, but stay for the what-the-even-hell dialogue and fever-dream plotting!

Are we gonna stick with it?  He'll yes!  You say "I don't like PWSA" and we say "STFU"! So grab your camcorder and give yourself a promotion in a rambling story that will be quickly discredited, because it's time for an apocalypse.  Which, in this series, occurs roughly one-third of the way through the proceedings.

NOTE: do we talk at length about Alice running down the building?  No.  Should we have?  YES!  What would we have said!?  I fed transcripts of all our episodes into a state-of-the-art AI* and it suggested we would have had the following exchange:

Clsn: "THAT WAS COOL!"

J.: "But who cares?"

NOTE: Did Clsn make a crack about this movie not having a credits sequence gag?  Yes.  Does the movie in fact have a credits sequence gag?  Also yes.  Has Clsn been sacked for this egregious gaffe?  Absolutely.

*Read: Looped it through Jones.

NOTE: Do we routinely call Mike Epps by his cousin Omar's name until almost the very end of the episode? Yes. There is no excuse for this, really, except that Omar is a far more memorable name than Mike.

Hey guys, sorry it took so long for me to tell you this, I'm just getting caught up now. So I know someone mentioned that Pizza Pizza is a Canadian chain; that would be because the whole movie was shot in Toronto, Ontario and not Germany at all. The City Hall you suggested looked a lot like some casino? Is actually the Toronto City Hall and I had the singular pleasure of watching this movie in the theatres purely to watch that particular building get destroyed by a helicopter on the big screen, having lived in southern Ontario pretty much my entire life. Anyway. There's your trivia for the day.

Also: it is VERY good to see a new episode on the non-patreon website. I was worried about you two.
