So, some of yall may remember a couple episodes ago, when a listener wrote in to point out the fact that it is possible to sing "IDEOTV... POD" to the same cadence as the seminal Wu-Tang Clan track, "Method Man", a showcase track for the rapper of the same name, and that they had been walking around for months singing "I - D - E - O - T - V.... POD!" for quite a while.
Of course, me being me, I took this way too much to heart and decided to record a short little parody of "Method Man", except about our podcast, because I am a cool adult. And in case you've never heard the original track, the spoken part at the intro is a book-related parody of the song's infamous "torture, kid, torture" intro, where members of the group take turns describing the worst possible ways they could think of to torture a human being -- back when skits on rap records were BEFORE the songs and you couldn't skip 'em. Hooray for the 90's. But don't worry, none of mine are scary or gross. Well, at least in a non-literary way. Also, I was very drunk, because I had to be authentic.
Here's the original track for reference in case you were never a Wu-Tang listener
(CONTENT WARNING for just about everything awful in the intro, BLAOW)

Anyway, please enjoy my dumb Method Man impression, which involves a lot of sing-song nursery rhyme cadence, trying to lower my voice about an octave, and tons of REALLY LOUD breathing in through my teeth, Or, you know, don't. It's really whatever. This was just a dumb joke.
But thank you for the letter that spawned THIS little piece of magic.
