Over the past few weeks, I have been dedicating myself to two projects: Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 4 and a secret one. I'm going to go over how things are going for both.

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 4

I finished the main story in chapter 15 but still need to work on all of the remaining romantic content. As you may recall, if your MC is in multiple relationships, there will be an argument between your two partners. I wrote one for Reilly last month and will continue down the list.

But the majority of my effort has been on coding and writing the special section that links together each chapter. This will be a chapter where your MC can handle all activities like leadership tasks, doing chores, crafting, upgrading the junkyard, etc. It will also be a place for many games like Dungeons & Dragons with your fellow survivors, some additional romantic content, and other scenes that can happen at any time.

If I have time this month, I will also start to work on some random events and the code for allowing you to trade with other groups in the area.

Secret project

Over the past few years, I have slowly been writing a traditional novel. This novel has taken so long, because I try to prioritize my interactive fiction, such as Safe Haven. But I finally finished the first draft. This novel is not about zombies or vampires. In fact it is a contemporary thriller. Below is the elevator pitch:

After killing in self-defense, a young man in Philadelphia buries the evidence, unwittingly unearthing a web of dangerous secrets and violence that threatens to consume him.

Fairly soon, I will be finishing up with the second draft. At that point I will be looking for beta readers. I will put up a form for those who would like to participate.
