Zombie Exodus: Stronghold Sneak Peek

---
As you reach the end of the alley, a food distribution center comes into view. The building is sleek and modern, with large glass windows and a polished steel exterior. The entrance is flanked by a row of tall, elegant planters filled with trimmed shrubs. Surrounding the center are a half dozen Workers, clad in dark uniforms, trying to hold back a crowd of thirty agitated Residents. The Residents are all dressed in designer clothing and shout their frustrations, their voices blending into a cacophony of anger and desperation.
"We've been waiting for hours!"
"Where's our food? We paid good money for this security!"
"This is unacceptable! We want answers!"
One of the Workers, a burly man with a stern expression, raises his hands in an attempt to calm the crowd. "There's nothing we can do right now. This has to be taken up with Management."
A woman stands next to him, and she shouts down, "We don't have the supplies. Management is handling it. Please, be patient!"
You and your group pause, taking in the scene. Sienna glances at Alex, her brow furrowed. "This is getting out of hand. Feels like a powder keg ready to blow."
Alex nods, his jaw set. "We have to keep moving though. We've got no choice." He steps forward, clearing a path for everyone. The crowd's agitation seems to grow, and soon you find yourselves swallowed up, unable to turn back.
"Let us in!" one of the Residents shouts, his voice rising above the din.
The burly Worker shakes his head firmly. "That's impossible. We're rationing food until the next supply truck gets here tomorrow."
A bottle suddenly flies through the air, shattering against the wall just above the female Worker's head. She ducks instinctively, and the Workers retreat a few paces, moving closer to the doors of the distribution center.
In the chaos, a Resident stumbles and collapses to the ground, clutching his chest. The crowd's shouts of frustration turn to gasps of concern, but no one steps forward to help.
You notice a side path wrapping around the northern side of the food distribution center. It seems clear of anyone, offering a potential escape route from the growing tension, or maybe even a way inside the distribution center.

Perfect time to get away. People are preoccupied with their own problems.
