Safe Haven Sneak Peek

---
The air shifts as you burst through the doorway, slamming the cold metal shut behind you. The lock snaps into place just as a tidal wave of undead crashes against the other side. The door buckles under the onslaught but holds firm, the metallic thuds echoing through the bones of the building.
You turn from the door and move down the barely lit corridor. The tunnel is a skeleton of the pavilion, bare and exposed. Above you, a network of vents snake along the ceiling, whispering the forgotten breaths of the building. The walls house arteries of wires, raw and hanging loose, twined around the framework like veins.
Pipes, cold and aging, line the corridor, some veiled in a coat of rust, others gleaming under the scarce light. They twist and turn, a metallic jungle veering off into the darkness. You skim past a workbench, tools laid out in quiet order.
As you walk farther into the tunnel's gloom, the path ahead forks into a multitude of choices. To your left, two doors stand ajar in the quiet hum of the tunnel. The first, marked 'Storage', stands a few feet ahead. Past it, the second door reads 'Utility Control', its entrance gaping open to reveal a room veiled in shadows, the ghosts of switches and dials barely visible in the dim light. To your right, a door marked 'Office' is farther ahead on the right. The door is closed. The hallway stretches beyond.
The screams of the undead feel a lifetime away yet echo through the silence. Your gaze sweeps over the doors once more before the corridor ahead pulls at you.
