Hey everyone! I got some backend development work done in April, but a bunch of things prevented me from fully reaching my goals. To account for this, I'm going to pause the Patreon for May and keep working to meet them. I really appreciate everything you all do to support me, and I always want to come through with great things in return!
I included some pictures and videos of my current WIPs from this month. My main focus has been on getting the map screen working, and it's very close to being done. Once I get the off-screen arrows working it will just be a matter of adding proper assets and polish/animation. I included a breakdown of the new functions added and a video of the current system in action.

Sub-zones for dense map areas
Hovering over a scene shows it's title/description
Icons mark which scenes are available/completed with specific flowers for each character
Arrows point to available scenes offscreen, or sub zones with available scenes
Sub-zones indicate when there are available scenes inside
Various bug fixes/error catching
Next month I'm going to continue working on the game engine and begin more regular sketches/visual work. The goal is to establish a routine where I work on visual art daily, sometimes for the game, sometimes for personal/commission pieces. This past year has just been one fire after another, but I'm doing everything I can to keep this all running. Thank you again for your support!
