Ayo I totally forgot to post this earlier 😅 but here’s a quick sneak from the last test run. In this one, you’ll see a cow-woman NPC trying to run for her life from two Nargomin demons. She doesn’t get far tho, one of them drops her in a single hit 😬 and then... yeah, things get hot.
What’s wild (and kinda cool from the AI side) is how the Nargomin don’t just rush her all at once like before. Now they actually take turns. One finishes, the other waits, like they’re in a messed-up queue. This is part of the new AI queueing logic I’ve been working on. It makes these situations way more dynamic and believable (in a dark, fucking hot way).
So yeah, NPCs now coordinate better, no more dumb crowding or spamming animations. If someone’s down, attackers line up and wait their turn. It’s part of making the world feel more responsive and alive.
Anyway, just wanted to share this little moment I forgot to post before. Lots more coming, especially once the crime system kicks in, imagine how bystanders might start reacting to scenes like this 👀
