December Update

Sorry again for the long silence. I might sound like a broken record but I’ve been working very hard behind the scenes on improving. Unfortunately with life and work and all that, I’ve had very little time to draw and I’ve been really bad about posting stuff.
One of the things I’m focusing on is actually finisihing stuff. I was kind of stuck in a “sketch loop” where I just kept overworking sketches and then starting new ones. It was helpful for a while and I feel a lot better about my sketching skills, but I eventually got to a point where i wasnt really learning anything new and I was just sketching just to sketch. Moreover, I hadn’t really worked on any comics in ages.
So I have resolved to change that. I’ve also resolved to change how many false starts I make, because I’m sure that’s been frustrating. I need to change a lot of things to keep that from happening, and this time I have a plan.
I’m working on my line art now and I’ve also started writing more. I think I was stretching myself thin because I didnt have the right projects to focus on that captured all my interests: queer drama, underground music, whimsical adventure and *ahem* hardcore pornography. I’m going to avoid talking too much about any of them for now because I know my track record when it comes to talking about plans, so my first step in in changing is to let the work speak for itself.
I’m going to be better about finishing things and especially about posting them. I’ve been working on a lot of stuff and I’m excited to share it.
