Cookbook/Recipe Errors info post
Added 2024-06-21 11:53:40 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
I just wanted to make a quick post to clarify a few things and hopefully fix some issues that have been popping up for a few of you as I haven't been able to get onto my computer much this week and I don't have enough time to respond to you all individually.
---
I've been getting a lot of messages/replies etc for recipes not working correctly. Please make sure you have the newest cookbook and homestead helper (the version you need is in the title on the download page).
Old versions are available to download in case there is ever an issue with the latest version so you can revert back temporarily until there is a fix. Otherwise you should always be using the version stated in the title, especially for new recipe uploads as the previous version will not contain certain 'cooking props' required for the recipe to work correctly which will cause your sim to stop cooking or an exception to pop up.
A common one is this :
Last Exception (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_model') - You have an outdated version of the cookbook or the recipe mentioned - please delete and re-download the latest version.
If you have checked and redownloaded the latest versions and the issue is still occurring please also check that it is not a custom counter/stove/fridge/other appliance etc that is conflicting.
If you are still having issues try hopping into my discord and sending me a report so I can take a further look.
It's also come to my attention that with the DX-11 option some mods are not working correctly. I don't think there's anything I can do about that at the moment as it's still experimental and a lot of other mods are also effected. As mentioned by EA it might be best to disable this whilst using mods.
Thank you ๐
