The officers got away with just a slap on the wrist. They should be doing jail time—what we witnessed here was pure negligence, and it cost a child their life. One of the officers took extra time to arrive at the house, and while I can’t say for sure, it felt like they prioritized something trivial—like stopping for coffee—over responding to the emergency call. No human being with a beating heart could listen to that call and simply let these two off with a warning. To make it worse, at the end of the visit, the officer actually sided with the parents, telling the child they should be working in the yard to "get big and strong" or some nonsense like that. If I had been in that child’s position and heard such a comment from an officer who came to "check on me," I’d instantly lose all trust in them. All I’d see is a cop siding with my parents, leaving me feeling completely trapped. This case is absolutely horrifying. It's hard to believe there are people capable of such actions, and then lying about it—shedding fake tears to convince the jury of their innocence. The man's attempt to persuade the judge that he wants to dedicate his life to helping children in similar situations is nothing short of pathetic. I hope he remains behind bars and, most importantly, never gets near another child again, same goes for this woman. I won’t address these individuals by their names because, quite frankly, I believe they don’t deserve names. They should be known simply as monsters. Damn this video upset me so much...

2024-12-20 04:12:49 +0000 UTCThanks for the kind words, Olivia. I can't imagine how this sort of video would hit for someone like you who works closely with children. I always think of my 6 year old nephew in these cases, and it drives me insane!

2024-11-03 21:50:30 +0000 UTCRight?! I had never heard of this before until working on true crime. Child is sick? Cold shower, child is cranky? Cold shower. Child is dead? Cold shower!

2024-11-03 21:49:49 +0000 UTCYeah, that was one of the most horrific calls I've ever worked on.

2024-11-03 21:49:12 +0000 UTCGod the 911 call really tore me up… It’s really so scary knowing that people like this are out there

2024-10-31 22:49:52 +0000 UTCWhy do they always think giving a kid a cold shower is some normal thing??? Hadn't heard of that before getting into true crime. It's strange how it always comes up in cases of child abuse.

2024-10-29 20:13:05 +0000 UTCThis was so hard to watch but thank you for covering cases like this. As someone who works closely with kids the system constantly fails them, it’s heartbreaking to see. I’m glad you were able to bring awareness to Omariee’s case.

2024-10-27 21:34:55 +0000 UTCI agree. Even though it's not well documented such as a case like, Timothy Ferguson, I really do believe this poor boy was suffering for a very long time.
