Whale Lodge Update

We appreciate your patience while we make the Whale Lodge. We wanted to update everyone on where we are in the process so we can clear up any questions you guys may have.
Whale Lodge FAQ:
Q: When will the Whale Lodge be released?
A: We aren't quite sure. We want to get this done as soon as possible but these things take time. We have to finish sculpting the model, cutting it, and test printing it to make sure this model works for FDM printers.
Q: Will this only be available for FDM printers?
A: No. We are releasing 4 total versions of the model. We are releasing a version with and without the lodge, a full size version for FDM, and a smaller display model version for resin printers. The full size version will only be available for FDM.
Q: Why will the full sized version only be available for FDM?
A: This is for two big reasons. First, due to the amount of cuts required, we decided it would be for the best. The full sized whale lodge is going to be so big that it would end up becoming a puzzle. Second, resin printing distortion is common. We don't want people to start putting together a puzzle only for it not to fit perfectly together because of distortion.
Q: How will the Whale Lodge be released?
A: The Whale Lodge will be added to our Welcome Pack and sent to all patrons who were with us since we've reached our 1,000 patron goal. We want everyone to enjoy and have access to this beast!
Q: How big will it be?
A: Until we test print it and make adjustments where needed, we aren't 100% sure. The full sized FDM version will be to scale, meaning, the lodge will have a playable interior for normal 28mm to 32mm characters.
Q: Will the FDM version require supports?
A: Most likely, yes. We are going to try making it as easy to print as possible but there will still be some required supports due to overhangs.
We are just as eager to get this to you guys as you are to receive it. Thanks for your support and patience. We promise, it'll be worth the wait! If you have any other questions, let us know in the comments and we'll do our best to answer them!

If you release something too quickly then you're troubleshooting multiple versions. To paraphrase Shigeru Miyamoto: "A delayed model is good eventually, but a rushed one is forever bad."
