Curvetooth Opulent

The Curvetooth Opulent is an oddity in Okinja. They are greater dragons with a sinister disposition. Almost all dragons found in Okinja lack wings and possess long serpentine bodies but the Curvetooth is an exception. The oldest mythologies claim that long ago the dragons of the west and the dragons of the east fought a great battle and that the long dragons of the east killed or drove out all the winged dragons of the west. The Curvetooth was rumored to be an offspring of the two types of dragons and was able to evade detection. These dragons hide deep in the jungles of Southern Okinja where they can avoid the detection of the eastern dragons that would kill them. Very few are left and many consider them pure myth though they are indeed real. The Curvetooth Opulent inherited traits of both lineages. They posses the wings of their western predecessors and the magic of their eastern ancestry. They tend to be spiteful and cruel, hoarding large treasures and secrets hence the opulent part of their namesake. They can sense the presence of gold and will go out of their way to acquire it. If a cuvetooth is presenting a problem for an area sometimes just threatening to reveal their location to other dragons is enough to get them to stop. Other times they can be bought. Either way be very wary of making a deal and be sure to have precautions set in place as it is likely they will try do double cross you once they have what they want.

Rhino Turtle

The Rhino Turtle is a beast of pure muscle and armor. The histories of the Vanaran Temple Libraries claim that the Rhino Turtles where created by the Goddess Shivkarsassa to help her shape the landscape in order to build her mansion. Wherever they came from they are strong, temperamental beasts that require only the slightest of provocation to charge. Their rhino like hide and shell on their back make them extremely resistant to melee damage and their horn makes them extremely dangerous when they charge. It is recommended to use magic when facing one and to keep ones distance. They tend to charge in straight lines so skirting the perimeter should keep you relatively safe.

Makaras

Makaras are celestial creatures that reside in the jungles of southern okinja, often found in springs and lakes in far mountain reaches. These are mysterious and mythical creatures with connections to the divine. Little is known about them but it is speculated that they are closely related to the Kirin that can be found in the mountains of central and northern Okinja. Their appearance is usually a good thing and they can help trappers looking to stop evil dragons however if your motivations are less than noble they can cause trouble.

Taja

Taja comes from a long family line of dragon trappers. Her ancestors where among the first trappers when the Lodge in the Deva Opulences was first founded. she has a no nonsense personality about her and if you are selected to be on one of her trapper teams you are expected to work efficiently and expertly. She has a low tolerance for disobedience when on the hunt. Some think she is too intense but those people aren't veteran trappers so perhaps they could learn something from her approach. She has a disposition for using strategy and stealth rather than brute force in dealing with dragons. She knows the jungles better than most having been raised in them and she developed her own personal method of traversing the thick vegetation using her grappling hook.

Batu

Batu grew up hearing stories of Bo the Blasphemous, who had helped to stop the evil void dragon Kugekai, during the Great Oni Wars. His exploits and adventures always fascinated Batu and he wanted nothing more to grow up and be like his idol. Batu spent hundreds of hours in the Temple libraries reading about Bo and his travels, He read scrolls about the various martial arts found through out Okinja and beyond. When he came of age he set out on his pilgrimage deciding to follow the same path as Bo the Blasphemous. He traveled far and learned how to fight and defend himself. After returning from his first pilgrimage to make an offering of knowledge at the Temple Libraries he decided to join the lodge. He is new but shows much promise and his travels have given him a large pool of knowledge and wisdom.

Praaj

Praajuuhallavrajit Dra'jjmadod or 'Praaj' for short, was a university professor of Astronomy in the Deva Opulences when a student from the archaeology department brought him a book they had discovered on one of their digs. It seemed to have diagrams referencing the stars and celestial bodies, something Praaj was an expert in. These where unlike anything he had ever seen before however and they hinted at a hidden knowledge lost to mortals. Praaj studied the book and discovered it's magical properties and that it was the collected knowledge of a long since Wu-Jen, arcane mages that delve into deep secrets of ancient magic. Praaj has been digging deeper ever since and his journey has brought him to the story of the first dragon in Okinja and how it fell from the stars. Praaj joined the Lodge to learn more and to try and get an up close look at dragons to try and unravel the mysteries of the universe.

Mali

Mali joined the lodge by chance, literally. When she set out on her pilgrimage she decided she would let the gods guide her journey. Every time she came to a crossroads she would flip a coin and let the results determine her path. That is how she eventually ended up at the lodge. Initially the Lodge was reluctant to have her join but her creativity and ability to think outside the box made her difficult to ignore. She carries a magical brush that allows her to bring almost any object she paints into existence. This has been extremely valuable on many occasions and has caught many opponents off guard.

Macha

Macha was a gift to Taja from her grandfather. She is a giant falcon that comes from a long line of pure bred falcons. The tribe from which Taja hails is famous for their falcons. Macha helps Taja to get in to optimal positions for sniping and scouting and her size allows her to outmaneuver most dragons when in a pinch. Macha is extremely loyal and obedient and her training is matched by no other mount at the lodge.
