I actually really enjoy that they aren't as "dragon-like" as other Patreons. I'm part of a few Patreons that make dragons and honestly I can't tell the difference between them after a while. They're all very classical dragon looking, maybe with like an added element like ice if they're an ice dragon, or branches if they're a nature dragon. The Dragon Trappers designs remind me more of that old school low-fantasy dragon, something from Golden Axe or Monster Hunter, that's actually part of the natural biome and food chain they're in. I can see your point about them seeming more like natural animals with wings and less fanciful dragons, just wanted to chime in that that's something some people are looking for and appreciate.

For what it's worth, Falarose, I think you brought up a good point. The Patreon is in its early days right now, but I'm interested to see what the team comes up with as time goes on. A new dragon EVERY MONTH is bound to strain the creativity, so I think the design team will find it rewarding when they eventually run out of real life reptiles and are forced to start experimenting... Although that better not happen before I see The Lodge's take on a frilled lizard 😉

Thanks for understanding. We plan to add wingless options as something patrons can vote to add as a stretch goal. There’s a high likely hold we will be able to the toad kind with a wingless variant.

It’s literally called the toad king. Not sure what you where expecting there. Here at the lodge we enjoy the style of dragons we produce as we try to ground them in a realistic natural style that is unique from anything else available on the market. While it is quite insulting for you to demean the design skills of our talented artists we understand it is unintentional and that you likely aren’t aware of the intricacies that go into designing each dragon. It’s quite a bit more than adding wings to lizards. While we are always looking to improve our models, it is not likely we will be changing the direction of our style to suit your personal tastes anytime soon. Perhaps this can be an opportunity for you to expand your imagination and explore a more varied use of the term dragon than the stereotypical and traditional idea. Either way good luck on your journey to find dragons you like.
