Glazy Patron Badges!

Your sustained support has been essential to my ability to pay for Glazy's servers and continue glaze research and testing.  I've added many new Glazy features in 2019, including Posts and the ability to save Glaze Batches.  Not to mention other projects like the Plaster Calculator and "This Vessel Does Not Exist".  And I'm planning for an exciting 2020 in ceramics-related software.

Patreon recommends that creators make special content only available to Patrons as a form of incentive.  But I'm completely against the idea of walling-off knowledge behind a paywall.  My software and research is freely available on Glazy, the Glazy Wiki, and the Glazy Instagram account at https://www.instagram.com/glazyorg/

But I want you all to know how much I value your support.  Besides the fact that I couldn't afford to run Glazy's servers on my own, knowing that people are willing to donate money to this cause keeps me going!

There are currently only about 50 of you who have become Patreon Patrons, while there are 13,000 Glazy user accounts (7,000 have logged in recently).  You are helping to make this resource available for free to everyone!

As one small token of thanks, I have just added the "flame" badge that designates each Patreon Patron.  This badge will appear next to your name in Glazy recipes, posts, and your Glazy home page.

It is my hope to give you all thanks and recognition, and that others will see this badge and decide to become part of the small group of Glazy patrons.

Whether you give $100 or $2 a month, everyone's support is appreciated and everyone gets the same badge.

I know that some of you may not wish to be recognized in this manner.  If that is the case, just send me a message and I will remove you.  Also, I have used your Patreon email address to set the badge.  If you use a different email address for Glazy, please let me know!

Again, THANK YOU for all your support!

Happy New Year,

Derek

I'm very happy to contribute to your excellent website.

Glad to be a new patron, Derek. I am attending Ursula Hargen's MN NICE program this year at Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis. I am currently starting a materials research project that will involve comparing several shino glazes I have been working with for the past several years using four different clay bodies. She has urged me to enter the recipes I obtained from Judith Duff in 2010 into your program for chemical analysis and so I started a few days ago entering the formula I have for Ron Meyer's Shino. I stopped with the base formula, then tried to add tin oxide, which I did not know how to do. You should know that I have had no chemistry so am just learning to walk with all the information you provide. I tried to find information in help, but could not find it. Can you help me?
