You, Me, and Moon City 3

Well howdy there, bounty hunter.

The last few months I’ve been piecing together a brand new project, if you follow me on twitter you’ve probably seen me show pieces here and there and vaguely mention a solo project. I’d been vague for a while about it because I’ve been juggling it between my main comics work, the normal patreon content, and any commissions I pick up. So it had been slow going for a while and I had been a bit self conscious about it so I hadn’t really felt like I should talk about it. But hey, there’s no time like present to talk about the things you’re excited about. So without further ado…

Well welcome to me announcing that I’m writing and drawing a new webcomic called Moon City 3. As you can see it’s still being pencilled and the reason of that being I’m trying to get as much of a head start as I possibly can while still juggling my current OGN. So in the mean time I’ll be posting WIPs and sketches of the city and characters to document it’s production! Also because I’m having a blast drawing these cast and I want to share it with ya’ll.

So what is Moon City 3?

Moon City 3 is a future fantasy action/ero webcomic following Blue, a perpetually down and out patchwork bounty hunter, and Sila, a MPop Superstar in the group NEON KLR who all moonlight as assassins (this is definitely a rumor and not at all true *winkwink*).

The first chapter of the series takes place on well… Moon City 3, a giga city built on the moon, as we follow Blue tracking down a bounty in order to pay off his overdraft fees in order to have enough money to buy food and repair his ship. While following Sila as her and the rest of NEON KLR get ready to put on a show and take care of a special VIP, who unbeknownst to them has a bounty on their head.

No I meant the comic!

The comic itself is going to be a rather light hearted story, reading not too far off from a shonen in terms of action and over the top characters. It’s a future fantasy story, so expect elves and what not, but I also want don’t want to be too beholden to it and don’t want a gloomy cyberpunk story. It’s fun, it’s whimsical. I want to make a series that’s both fun to read but also to draw. It’s a bit more bubbly and fun than some of my other work in both story but also the world. Fights with big cyborg super soldiers and casual sex are the norm because I want to explore the choices of characters and how they get into either of those situations. The goal is to have you all chanting “Fight! Fight! Fight! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”

In terms of appereance it’ll be black and white with screentones as color would take way too much time for me at the moment with no financial backing. So if it gets popular enough we could see it happen!

Wait did you say there’s going to be sex??

Yea! I’ve really come to enjoy drawing erotica over the last year and it’s something I’d like to explore more in storytelling! Plus I played Cyberpunk 2077 and I really hated how it presented sex and sex workers in that game A LOT, since I actually have a lot of friends who are sex workers so getting a positive representation of sex, adult themes, and queer representation has become important to me. But mainly, I really fuckin love drawin sexy people doing the dirty and we need more comics with it!

What does that mean for me and the patreon?

Just more content! The tiers and the content will stay the same, I’ll just be uploading additional materials like sketches and pages as their being worked on! When I get to uploading pages online I’ll do another update on here with plans of where it’ll be uploaded to and the schedule!

Wait, what’s MPop?

Oh! It’s Moon Pop… because it’s pop music… from the moon.
