sunday 🪦

hi everyone, i hope you’re all doing okay. some photos from the weekend- the pumpkin patch, a really lovely wander around a big cemetery. also a repost of my A5 rings flip through, as patreon seems to have deleted it(?) 🦇💭

the pumpkin patch didn’t feel quite as cosy this year- it seemed to be a lot busier, and the vibe was a bit “off.” definitely not helped by the fact they were playing weird remixes of mid-2000’s pop hits (instead of just popping a halloween playlist on? 🥲) and their scare-fest set up was a lot closer, which is what you can see in the background of the last photo. it meant we could hear all their music leaking across the field (also terrible pop remixes), the screaming, the pyrotechnic explosions, etc. also a lot of light leak! which i think hurt the atmosphere of the evening pumpkin patch event. still got some lovely photos, but we definitely didn’t spend anywhere near as long hanging out and bathing in the ambience as we did last year- it all felt a bit chaotic.

the following morning however, we went for a long walk in a local graveyard, which was really lovely. most of the graves are very old, with names like “constance” and “jeffrey charles” and “alistair.” pretty unheard of in the uk these days 😅

i took a lot of photos on my camera in the graveyard, but it’ll take me a little time to sort through them- will update you once i have 🪦🌱 always feel very enamoured with all the different layers of moss and lichen. a perfect atmosphere restorer after the slightly disappointing pumpkin patch!

i’m not sure what the rest of the month will hold, but i’ll make sure to keep you in the loop as it unfolds. i’ve been thinking about making one long october video, similar to the one from december last year. it just feels a little more manageable than the weekly videos recently- i hope you don’t mind too much.

p.s. i've been having some strange trouble with patreon the last few days/weeks- uploads seem to be glitching and failing/disappearing/reappearing at will. i've no idea what's going on, but i am aware it's happening. i've been asked about a few of the freebie posts that seem to have vanished (i can't find them either) and i don't have an explanation. in the next couple of days i'll compile a big folder with all of the existing freebies, that way i can upload it each time there's something new and it'll stay updated and accessible. pls bear with me in the mean time! hopefully one of these days patreon will get its shit together 🥲
