Episode 58 - China Worm Sunflower
Added 2019-10-18 18:07:28 +0000 UTCThree hypnotizing attempts, two destroyed castles, and countless walnuts later, Lair of The White Worm comes to an end. Break out the medium-grade china and cream-jug, because this is one episode you won't want to miss.
The 372 Pages Improv Players will attempt to fill the void when the Dark Web comes up empty, and we'll examine how the book is actually exciting, you just need the right music to play. And does Conor have a new Ogden in his life? Plus, what the hell are the amplified dimensions of a potential breakfast?
Just try to keep all laughter quieter than your average slum beating as Mike & Conor wrap up Bram Stoker's Bad Book, and keep an eye on the Patreon page for our review of the movie and a mailbag.

One would need scientific notation to describe the ratio of inexplicable sentences to anything resembling a story in this last section. Wow. Just... wow.

2019-10-22 17:50:23 +0000 UTCI'm 5 minutes into the Lair of the White Worm film and I'm incredibly confused and intrigued. Also Peter Capaldi and Hugh Grant look like absolute children.

2019-10-21 17:04:40 +0000 UTCI know it’s absurd but I love nonsense purple prose of early 20th century stories, but it alone isn’t enough. It went from “I’m kinda liking this” to “wow Brams got some issues” to “wait, what? C’mon.” All in all though I think it’s a good-bad book. I love it, but dammit boy it’s a terrible book.

2019-10-21 15:53:34 +0000 UTCI know it’s ‘dramatic music’ but all I could hear was the GLOP podcast theme.

2019-10-20 21:15:33 +0000 UTCSo, once the lightning struck the kite and presumably destroyed it at the same time the rest of Castra Regis was blown to rubbish, does that mean the Birdemic subsequently resumed?

2019-10-20 03:21:19 +0000 UTCI would be remiss if I didn't compliment this week's sketches. Both were very funny. I didn't initially realize Mike was arguing with himself in the up to date manservant sketch. :)

2019-10-19 03:12:19 +0000 UTCThe Wikipedia article on this book has a link to the unabridged ebook including the original illustrations. So I have intentionally read this book twice now. When Arabella flees with the kite wheel, it somehow has the Kelvin sounding device attached, which I thought was in the well basement. Also, when did the sofa get put beside the well? Also, how many interior/exterior well chambers are there, exactly?? Also, is this the same Kelvin who created the temperature scale AND the sounding device?

2019-10-19 01:02:52 +0000 UTCI think we need an additional show just to go over all the loose ends. For example, Mesmer's Chest. What was the point of that?!
