Thank you.?

Travis Lynn

we are reading thru chapter 5, page 78

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

End of chapter 5, page 78.

M Williams

Did I miss it: what chapter are we reading to? I just finished the prologue and chapter 1 and am wondering if I read too much. Scratch that. I've definitely read to much, but how much more do I have to read to keep up with everyone else?

Travis Lynn

I feel like Mike doesn't deserve that. But I'm probably wrong.

George Allen

I've always wanted that to be someone's last words! -C

I just tell everyone that I've joined a book club for bad books and they get excited by the idea and I get to mention the podcast. I just win all around.

M Williams

This book is bad in the classical Overuse of the Gerund and mistaking it for serialized action rather than simultaneous while simultaneously using and to represent serialized action a sentence later. Also, no editor as far as the eye can see to save us from these pointless rambling details.

M Williams

If that happens, I will never forgive you, Mike Nelson & Conor Lastowka.

Kerry S.

And I now have The Mister on my Kindle. What will happen if I die in public, and the police who have to find out who I am, pull out my cell phone to get my ICE number, and they see THIS in my Kindle app? The officer will surely mention it to my family member "I'm so sorry I had to inform you about your family member's death... but..... I... I don't know how to tell you this, but did you know he was reading "The Mister" by EL James?????"

Kerry S.

Went into Barnes and Noble, proudly declared to an employee I was looking for "The Mister," and bought it there. Went to the cashier who was dressed like Qui Gon. She said, "May the fourth be with you." No shame at all. I bumped my knee on the counter as I was trying to walk away. No shame at all.

Jacob Grudzina

I saw someone mention a kindle version, but I don't see it.

Emily Brown

I'm going to take your advice and order Trucking Through Time right now. Edit: It says customers who bought Trucking Through Time also bought the 64-Squares book. I feel like I've come home.

Theodore Lehman

I'm gonna skip this one because I just finished a temp job with a co-worker who swore continuously. I don't need to read a book with three f-bombs per page. The f-bomb is not a saturation-fire weapon.

Theodore Lehman

I never thought I would look back fondly to Bob Honey but here I am three chapters in and what I wouldn't give for some random Phil Ochs

David C

I've been on an Avoid Amazon tear lately. I ordered my Trucking Through Time from an independent bookseller who did the print on demand for me. It's Schuler Books which is in Michigan. Many bookstores will do the print on demand for you if you want to check out your local-ish options. You can find a handy list for this book by going to abebooks.com and searching for Trucking Through Time. /PSAforRetailDiversity

M Williams

I wonder if we can negotiate a bulk print run of Trucking Through Time.

RotoLando

yes please!

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

fingers crossed for some snackage being offered to a lieutenant

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

As soon as Mike mentioned a whole page consisting of just a text message conversation I realized that there should be a "things E. L. James ripped off from herself" running list. I also recommend skimming through this very entertaining read through of the 50 Shades series just to get a little taste of E. L.'s writing "style". <a href="http://jennytrout.com/?page_id=5720" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://jennytrout.com/?page_id=5720</a>

Is The Lusty Argonian Maid acceptable for fan fiction?

Julian Kennedy

Well, the good news is that there probably won’t be a lot of alliteration, there probably won’t be a lot of repeated references to future meetings with characters and there probably won’t be references to accounting. The bad news is there may be references to nipples. So, maybe a wash?

Christopher Dazey

Yes, thru Chapter 5, page 78

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

I'm only on page 7, so anything could still happen! -C

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

Slip a fake cover of "A People's History of the United States" on it so they won't be inclined to pick it up...?

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

as god is my witness, we will get to TTT!

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

Do we have a reading assignment for this week?

Jordan Roher

So I'm gonna take a guess that this book is *not* about the "Mister, Mister" lady from HAPPY GILMORE that Happy hit with his car at the retirement home?

Jesse Shade

*sigh* Well, fine. FYI, I DID buy "Trucking Through Time" and it was available through B&N. A little pricey, but comparable to what it was going for on Amazon at the time.

LeRenardRoux

Elizabeth Meredith

Sighhhh.... another dirty book I’m not going to bring into my house where my kids could find it. Maybe next time.

Nate Dickson

maybe you'll inspire a stranger to read their first book ever!

372 Pages We'll Never Get Back

My library has 3 copies, and 5 hold requests. I really wanted the hardcover of this :D I am one of the listeners who reads every book, and I want people to witness me reading this.

Erika Flowers

Yeah I need to discreetly read this one.... My wife is going to be like... What the hell are you reading?! You guys doing one for the ladies this time or?

Brion K

Aaaaaaah awesome I can't waaaaiiiit!!!!

amolove

I was joking with my coworkers and we had a bet it'd be this one. Good thing about Kindle editions is nobody sees what I'm reading.

Mark Burger

I just don't know if I can take you up on your challenge. It'll be bad enough if my wife finds out I'm reading this...

JoshG

I'm so excited! Also, just based on how much of the "self published" books on Amazon are strangely named romance books, I can see that genre being an entire spin-off podcast.

Emma Schroeder

Oof... I slogged my way through Bob Honey but I think this might be the one I tap out on reading along with...

PG

It's hard to believe we're already at the seventh one of these stupid things.

Nick Donald

The title field of the mp3 ruins the surprise. :O
