Development Update 62 (The Poll Results)

Progress on version 0.17

Since my last development update I’ve been focused pretty much exclusively on Faye’s punishment system. I am pleased to report that I have made excellent progress and all the basic punishment positions and actions have now been made, and her punishment system is up and running. As with Liz's punishment system in the last update I have been trying to introduce some new punishment actions to keep things interesting. Plus, the new spanking animations are among the best I've made yet, with big improvements in both the butt and thigh jiggling. Faye can only get up to level 2 at the moment, however, that’s actually the bulk of the work. I feel like I’m on a roll with Faye’s stuff right now, so I am going to keep at it and try to get her to level 3, before switching my attention to the twins. I should have the first batch of image previews to share within the next couple of weeks.

The Poll Results

Our most recent Mykock’s Manor Poll has now closed and it’s time to analyse the results. First though, I want to make clear that it's going to be some time before we see the results of this poll implemented. There wouldn't be much point asking these questions if I had already written these storylines so they are all still in early stages of development. I think we’ll probably see Lily’s and Sam’s story progress late in Chapter 2 or during the transition to Chapter 3. However, the next stage of the girls’ medical testing is at least a few updates from appearing in the game. 

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the results.

Question 1: Meeting the Headmistress

Upon arriving at Mykock’s Manor in the latest special we ran into the headmistress and her assistant Rosie. For anyone who doesn't remember; Rosie was in one of the headmaster’s dream sequences (along with Sarah), where he was recalling events from his previous school. I thought she would make a perfect assistant for the headmistress, given she had experience of the headmaster’s methods.

The boys' school is something that I always intended from the very beginning, and it is mentioned several times throughout the game. Most notably in Liz’s storyline, with Liz fantasising about being punished in front of a male audience. I wanted to have a boy's school for a number of reasons; as a passive male audience to witness the girls being punished; because if the school’s owners were serious about their aims it would make sense to have a boys school as well; plus I think it would be funny if there was a female version of the headmaster doing similar things with her male students, with a comedic rivalry between the two characters. 

I’ve polled people over this issue before, and most were OK with the idea of allowing boys witnessing the girls being punished (with assurances that there would be no physical contact between male and female students). I didn’t want to retread old ground, so my question was narrowly focused on one specific issue; whether the headmaster would visit the boys school. The heavy implication being that we would see the headmistress punishing one or more male students if he did. Roughly two thirds (71%) of people said that they were not interested in visiting the boys school, with about a third (29%) saying they were. 

To be honest, I don’t have super strong feelings either way on this one and I am happy to go with the majority. I’m not even sure exactly what a punishment for the headmistress would look like. I’m not interested in making any dominant female to submissive male spanking animations. So, more likely, the headmistress's punishments would involve things like teasing, edging, orgasm denial, as well as embarrassing the boys by involving girls their own age (as Rosie’s character discussed in the recent special). 29% is a not insignificant fraction and I could make an argument for making a short optional scene along these lines. However, there are more important storylines that the majority are clamoring for, so I can’t justify investing much time in the idea right now. Who knows, maybe someday.

Question 2: What to do with Lily?

The second question was about what to do with Lily now that her criminal enterprise has been discovered. Since Lily is not a student, any punishment she receives will have to come through the courts system, which is why I included the character of Judge Harshly in the special (his bemused assistant was there purely for comedy value).

The first option was to force Lily to perform nude community service at the school, to help set an example to the students. Most people (67%) went for this option. The second option was to put Lily under house arrest and make her submit to court ordered spankings from the headmaster. Some of the feedback I got from Sam and Lily's storyline praised the domestic setting used for Lily’s first punishment. Seeing a family style punishment with the two sisters at their home resonated with some people and I wanted an idea of how prevalent that view is. Well, now I know, with roughly a third (31%) of you going for this option.

Option three essentially boiled down to removing Lily from the game entirely. I included this just to check that people were enjoying the story. If a majority of people didn't care what happened to Lily, then it wouldn’t make sense to invest any more time into her character. In the end, less than 2% of people went for this option. As a writer it’s reassuring to know that the vast majority are enjoying my work. So, Lily’s character will remain and we will be making an example of her for the benefit of the girls.

Now, there is a very strong argument for pursuing both option 1 and 2 to some extent. 98% were in favour of Lily being punished by the headmaster one way or the other. Therefore, I think I can easily justify spending some time on another domestic punishment for Lily as well as public ones at the school. I can’t promise I will find the time for both though.

Question 3: Preferred Testing Approach?

As Reilly said, the girls' medical testing may end up looking a little different to what we saw during the special. It's going to take hundreds of hours of work to write the scenes and then set up and pose all the models. My plans could change during that time for any number of creative or technical reasons and I’d like to keep my options open. Therefore, the question was purely focused on setting some boundaries. Specifically, whether or not the nurse should penetrate the girls with a dildo during their “vaginal response testing”. The majority of you (70%) preferred that the nurse probe the girl's vaginas with her fingers, rather than a phallic tool. Personally, I think this is the best choice as well, with the finger method providing far more intimacy between the nurse (or headmaster) and student.

Question 4: What if the girls are still “intact”?

I know that this is an issue that some people feel strongly about, but quite a few don't really care about that at all. I wanted people to answer based on gut feeling so I presented two extreme options; either have the nurse break any that she finds, or take steps to identify and preserve them. The majority (74%) didn't want the nurse to “break” the girl's hymens. I will take this to mean that most people do care to some extent about this. I promise to keep this in mind whenever I write about one of the girls being penetrated for the first time (for any reason).

This question was obviously closely related to the previous one. If people had chosen the dildo as their preferred method for testing the girls' vaginas and they also requested the girls' hymens be preserved, then the nurse would have to exempt some girls from the tests. That has not proven to be the case which makes things a little simpler.

Question 5: The role for the headmaster.

My plans for the medicals have always been to pressure the nurse into increasingly sexual touching of the students and I promise we will still see that happen regardless of the poll outcome. Of course, not having the headmaster participating in the medical testing does seem like a shame, so I presented three options for how he might play a bigger role. The first option was for him to take charge of keeping photographic records only, essentially taking a back seat and leaving the nurse to it. Perhaps unsurprisingly only 9% of people wanted this option. The second option was for the headmaster to leave the medical testing (such as the pelvic exams) to the nurse and to assist with testing their sexual responses. I think this was a happy middle ground and the majority of you (57%) went for this option. The third option was for him to receive medical training so that he could perform all the medical tests on selected girls himself. 34% of you wanted to see this happen. 

Options two and three are mutually exclusive so I can't split my time between them. Therefore, we will have to go with option 2. However, I should take note that a relatively large chunk of my audience is interested in seeing the headmaster performing medical examinations of the girls. Perhaps there is a way for me to make both parties happy; some optional on-the-job training from the nurse, for example. I will take these results on board and give it some more thought.

Question 6: Which girls to focus on.

The medical testing I have planned is obviously quite complicated and it’s simply not practical for me to write and render the entire process for every girl. Not to mention the fact that there are only a handful of different labia options in the software I use. Therefore, as with the second medical, we’ll see all the girls in line and being examined to a greater or lesser extent. However, we’ll only see a handful of them receiving each of the actual medical tests. I presented a short list of eight students to focus on during the medicals, prioritising girls who don’t have major storylines either made or currently in the works.

Of the eight shortlisted, the four girls with the most votes were:

• Donna (with 210 votes)

• Emily (with 198 votes)

• Arabella (with 167 votes)

• April (with 141 votes)

Personally, I think these are all excellent choices. It will be very amusing to see the haughty young duchess, Donna, on all fours being examined like a domestic animal. Emily's initial medical exam showed signs of hormonal issues, therefore, it makes logical sense to follow up on that very thoroughly. Fortunately, as a nudist, she won’t mind being naked in front of all her classmates and teachers. Arabella is very sheltered and naive and it will be interesting to see how she reacts to being sexually stimulated by the nurse and headmaster. April is inquisitive and outspoken, with a tendency to be proud and overly competitive. She often gets herself into trouble and it’s always fun to see her in embarrassing situations.

Please don’t be upset if your favourite girl wasn’t chosen here. As I said, we’ll see all the girls during the medical exams to some extent. Plus, there will be plenty of other opportunities to see the girls having their intimate parts examined as we move into Chapter 3 (during the resolution to the cannabis scandal, for example, or simply while patrolling the school and inspecting the students).
