The Cavern of Cursed Tears [PDF]

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised to see that "More Short Pirate Borg Adventures" won the last content poll. Plus, our convention GMs needed a new adventure to run at this year's PAX Unplugged four table mega game, so this really worked out.

I'm working on a new YouTube video about how to generate quick adventures using Magic the Gathering cards... and this adventure was the result of my tests for that (using mostly cards from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan). I'm actually really proud of this one. Since the Kickstarter ended (by the way, late pledges and preorders are open), I've finally got back in the groove of my daily drawing exercises, and my first "text book" is How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way. I'd like to think drawing 70's superhero figures over and over and over has helped me learn a few tricks, and I found this cover actually fun to draw, instead of my typical "self loathing creative torture akin to pulling teeth that finally results in something I'm proud of". Hope you like it!

Before you ask, yes we are printing this pamphlets, and they will be in our webstore at some point. We might even have some at the booth at PAX Unplugged next week, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The Adventure

I play tested this at last weeks Ship of the Dead RPG Club meetup, and it was a blast. I won't spoil it here, but basically there is a bad ass dude in a bad ass place and if your PCs are bad ass enough, they get to meet him, and then probably die in a bad ass way. Bad. ASS.

The whole thing fits on an A5-sized pamphlet, but for $5+ patrons I've provided A5 pamphlet, A5 single page, and Letter (8.5" x 11") sized versions, plus Black & White versions of those, so it should be super easy to print this in the format you want.

This also goes along with last month's Underground Ziggurat battlemap, and I have at least one more map planned so you can run the cave portion on a VTT.
