New Gouache Painting!

How are you doing today? We've had a surprisingly snowy few days here, which is great! I love snow; it makes everything look soft and beautiful.
But we're not here to talk about the weather, right? This month, I've been pretty busy working on things for my upcoming art book (16 January!), but I also painted this little scene. It's based on the beautiful moss-covered rocks I saw in Norway. These days, I'm really enjoying moodier imagery, probably due to the cold months.
While I was working on this painting, I took a photo every 10 minutes, and I'm going to share those steps as a reward in a few days. Previously, I've recorded the process of my gouache paintings on video, but it's just such a pain! I can't work with a camera in my face, and I like to get reeeeaaally close t the paper when I'm painting details.

Beautiful painting, wow, the mood is incredible! You inspire me to add some figures to my gouache landscapes. I have them in digital artwork but traditional seems scary! Especially painting from imagination... In Photoshop there are adjustment layers and such and it seems easier. But you encourage me just by showing such fantastic pieces, thank you! T^T
