The Cuckoo's Dream
Added 2022-06-29 07:00:05 +0000 UTCOkay, Ava's story has a name! In this case, the 'cuckoo' is Amy, since she's a substitute for the real Amy, or at least she feels like she is. The dream refers to the game, since the premise of VR in the LF universe is that Bridget and Amy were able to induce and control theta (dreaming) brain waves, allowing players to experience something like lucid dreams. This is about the sum total of my actual ability to do science-speak on this topic, but if someone wants to be inspired by the idea and run with it, I won't turn down a small cut of the profits 😏
Today, I'm going to go ahead and post the first chapter of The Cuckoo's Dream on RR. I can include an author's note filling them in on some of what I've told you (though you still have the exclusive on Aspen's epilogue and Grimalkin). The second chapter of Cuckoo will go up next week, when I take down LF. After that, I'll be writing two days and editing three days a week until all five books of LF are done. At that point, I'll start posting Grimalkin on RR, though you will always stay at least two weeks ahead of them.
I hope I'm not bothering you guys too often! I love telling you about all of this craziness, and I'm super excited to be moving ahead with actually getting my books up for sale! You all seriously rock!
