Millie and Struthio
Added 2021-08-23 04:23:45 +0000 UTCHonestly, Millie and Struthio were throw-away characters who only came about because I needed a way for Rouge to replace her mount after leaving Blackie behind in Bright. They were never supposed to be mentioned again. But then, there were the cinnamon rolls. I mean, you can't let an item with a stat like that go to waste, right? And if you knew where to get an item with a stat like that, you would definitely find your way back there, especially if it seemed to be kind of 'hidden', and you were as curious and tenacious as Rouge.
Also, I have a pre-reader who refuses to let any of my side characters go. 'What about the guy who sold Wally to Rouge?' 'Rouge needs more cinnamon rolls!' 'What about the little girl from the beginning with the doll? Did she find her dad? Was her doll stolen again?'
Pre-readers are invaluable. Not only do they help with grammar, punctuation, and continuity, but they also ask questions that make you view things in a different way. Also, it's encouraging when someone likes your work enough to keep coming back for more.
