Ace of Wands - Sketch

Wohooo, I'm so excited to finally start the tarot deck! :D
I'm by no means an expert on tarot and I still have so much to learn, but I just love the idea of taking broad, abstract concepts, interpreting them in your own way, and putting them into images. That process is my absolute favourite thing about drawing. So the whole tarot deck gives me a bunch of ideas to work off of.
The sketch might look  freaking chaotic right now, but there is actually quite a bit of thinking and planning that went into it. I'm going to share everything as soon as I scanned my notes. Right now, I'm really tired. I got up at 6 because the water meter (?) in my apartment had to be replaced, which didn't go well with my usual sleeping schedule. Hats off to everyone who needs to get up early on a regular basis. I also met friends, did some sports, meditated and accomplished everything I set out to do today, so it turned out to be a pretty good day!

I'd be curious what you think about the sketch. Your ideas and interpretations are probably better than mine. :D

Here are some key points (each source says slightly different things, but I picked all the descriptions from here):

Thank you! That is great. I hope I can make a nice contribution to the huge number of tarot decks that already exist. There are so many great ones with beautiful artwork. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to the readings, but as you said, the artistic aspect is so interesting!

Thanks! I just posted my notes. :]

I'm excited to see how this project turns out! I have a handful of tarot decks (some 50+ years old, some new) that I picked up because I really enjoy the cohesive artistic vision that went into them. (Though to be honest, I know very little about tarot itself!)

This is super interesting. I would love to hear what your thoughts were in interpreting the keywords and how you ended up with this sketch. What I'm seeing in the sketch is a lot of energy as well as calmness and serenity. Which is an interesting contrast :D Which also fits the keywords well I think. But I wanna hear your thought process !! :D
