Announcement: Plans for September and October
Added 2016-09-01 11:06:43 +0000 UTCHey guys! :)
I thought I should let you know what I'm up to in September and October.
September: I've already accepted a whole lot of client work that needs to get done until the end of the month. But I'm trying to fit in as much personal work as I can. Though I probably won't be able to finish a full illustration, I'm going to keep you updated on sketches, studies and planning that goes into the project.
October: Here is where it gets exciting. I've decided to participate in Kristina Carroll's Month of Fear project, in which you're given weekly art challenges throughout the month. Last year's topics were Villains, Mirrors, Sabbath, What Lies Beneath and Danse Macabre. You can check out the project here:http://monthoffearart.com/
I thought this would be the opportunity to explore a few of the darker aspects of the story I'm creating. Since the topics are very broad, they're open to interpretation and give me a lot of freedom.
If everything goes according to plan, I'm going to create 4-5 illustrations that month. Of course, I'm going to keep you updated on the process and share the work with you, but I'm going to release the rewards over the course of October and November, so that I don't charge you 4 or 5 times within one month.
What do you think? I'd be happy to get your opinion on this idea.

Thanks for the feedback! :) At this point it's pretty much 50/50. I work for gaming companies half the time and draw rpg characters or trading cards. But my book and CD cover jobs mostly come from independent publishers. However, I post very little of my client work on social media.

Month of Fear sounds like a perfect opportunity to showcase a specific facet of your Phantasma setting. Very much looking forward to it!!
