2025-03-29 09:31:22 +0000 UTCThis is not 100% true, Khan has given me and 2 other mods at the time the "authority" to decide he should swap to the manga if we feel like we are going to be entering the final saga and big reveals are about to happen. After Wano we decided it was time and talked him into it. Pacing in the anime has always been an issue and if it didn't improve over the break like some people are saying it could be a trigger for him to return earlier then he wanted. Khan is assuming the anime will stay the quality it is at right now(wich imo is still mediocre but thats just me) and if it will not that will definetly impact his decission. I know everyone is in panic mode right now but time will tell.

For all the entertainment Khan gave us in the past. Just to give back some and get him back into his happy place that he is for so many of us! There were no promises. No contracts or nothing. Just a community being there for one of the most wholesome and entertaining creators there is, when he couldn't do it on his own. You are making assumptions that things haven't been considerd. Everything you mentioned has been considerd. As for people donating or staying subbed, I think that is very shallow point of vieuw. Khan has been doing youtube for years and has been on way longer hiatusses while still keeping his numbers. I won't deny there have been people that donated because op manga but so many others have not. So I don't think its fair to credit it all on the manga.

HOWEVER; I would argue that this decision itself is unfair to the audience. I don't think for most people it's about anime vs manag, but rather being able to watch Khan without having any spoilers. Khan taking himself out of the comment sections and conversations just takes much of the fun away from the journey. Most people want to engage with Khan week to week during each event versus worrying every time that Khan gets spoiled. And lastly if Khan does get spoiled then it takes a huge portion of the fun away from his reactions because we all know that he is spoiled on something. It ruins the "surprise" factor of the videos. Again this is my personal opinion and I think Khan should know that majority are arguing for manga so we can enjoy the reactions to the fullest. Not because people think manga is better than anime.

Hey guys I just want to make a post adressing some issues people seem to have with this (feel like most of you didn't even watch the video) and maybe reassure you guys that Khan is aware of the risks. Khan does not know how long egghead is and he doesn't want to know it either, he is estimating it to be 75% done where he left off. In reality the anime is 37chapters behind to finish egghead. We would have to wait and see how many chapters the anime will adapt after the break but its fair to assume the earliest egghead finishes in anime is around 8months to a year. Khan is AWARE of the risk of spoilers and he agreed to remove himself from the comments since last weekend,this does not mean he will not be spoiled. He has been spoiled in various ways before and knows it is a risk he is taking. A risk he thinks might be ok since its not to long of a period. Like Khan said he knows he can not extend this any longer then this timeframe, he knows the manga is in the end phase and he knows why he started the manga in the first place. I know a lot of you are doubtfull and concerned he will keep his word and swap to the manga instead of wanting to stay anime only after egghead but I have talked to him and hit him in the face with this concern before he made the decission. If Khan even considers staying anime only after egghead I will be there to talk sense into him, me and the others got him on the manga for a reason and people that might know me know that I am like the biggest OP anime hater but a delay like this should be managable. There is always possibility for spoilers and if Khan does get spoiled he knows the only one to blame will be him.

They intentionally knew what they were doing and that will only lead back to more people trying to spoil Khan. Now here's the thing, watching you for bare years now, another prediction incoming: ***You will stay anime only once you are done with egghead regardless what you say now*** Not being rude fam but you change your mind a lot, it was first to "continue manga", then it was "anime until you are caught up", now its "finish the anime with egghead". Once you are done with egghead it'll be "anime is doing so good, let me check out a few episodes of the new arc and see how it goes" and from there it's done. You said you would continue the manga, something a lot of people in the community were really excited about. But besides that, manga was an idea thrown at you because we entered the final saga (and risk of spoilers obviously) any chapter/episode could reveal something of importance. It's weird cutting off one of the two when it does not diminish any enjoyment for you at all (down below why). Look at it now, you loved the episodes you have seen until now, them episodes covered chapters from 1-2 years ago (chapters you already read) which would be the same as if you read the manga as well (you'd forget most of the things already like you did now). This idea is just a high risk situation for nothing, reading manga as well would be the safest option and again, by the time the episode drops, you be forgetting most things anyway. I am disappointed not gonna lie, especially when you made it all mysterious when people were asking about manga. Because this would mean to wait for another half year or even a bit longer than that (with my prediction that you'll stay anime only after). And as many already stated, this is like playing with fire even more so than before. So yea, just saying what's on my heart fam.

These are things I know Khan ISN'T thinking about, he's just living off the hype of his anime experience the past few months... he's forgetting how much he loved the manga because it isn't RECENT.

People forgot that when they announce their 6 months break, they announce a bunch of other stuff like a new version of past arc(fishman island) and another thing they announce was the addition of new sound effects for the anime. These are things that people have been asking for years and in addition for one piece to be seasonal. We'll see in 6 months but the way toei is doing things right now seems like they are listening to their audience. I'm confident that these are permanent change, not just a one time thing.

2025-03-27 22:13:30 +0000 UTCIf toei is really switching one piece to be a seasonal show with a pace of 1 chapter per episode, instead of a weekly anime, I hope to god you'll be able to dodge spoilers cause rn by the start of September , there would be a near 2years gap between the anime and manga. The gap will just get bigger and bigger. Episode 1122 was adapting chapter 1088. From what it looks like toei would be doing 6 months of episode 6 months of break meaning before they go on break again, the last chapter they would adapt would be chapter 1112. If you add another 6 months break after september, the episode for chapter 1113 would release in April next year. The reason Im personally so sure that they will now take a break every 6 months is because toei changed the time slot for One Piece which hasnt been done in 2 decades which means theres definitely change behind the scene in terms of how the show is being broadcasted. Now theres a lot of people who think that you are done being anime only but now that you are back, there's definitely some people who are gonna try to spoil. Even tho I know this is not a permanent switch I personally still think its a pretty bad decision.Hopefully I will be proven wrong.

The anime will inevitably go on another break, and the manga will keep on piling content and you'll inevitably end up getting spoiled like before. You'd still enjoy these episodes just like you did Egghead part 1 so I'm not quite sure why both wasn't an option, but I understand it's your decision. Love you and respect your decision but I'm dreading you getting spoiled again especially on stuff you wish you never did which just feels ineviable tbh, because let's not forget, this is the final saga. Main reason because it felt we were all going on the journey together and can discuss the events together without hiding any opinions because there were no spoilers. But I understand the reasoning you have with the anime, especially since Toei took the break to continue the amazing animation. It's a different vibe with animation and music playing the scenes vs the manga. I respect your decision, but I just hope you can remain unspoiled for the things you have not seen yet. Was really looking forward to seeing you be caught up to the story once again.
