New Artwork "Summer Breeze"

Hi everyone! Here is the last piece from 2023. By the way - happy new year! Thank you so much for staying on this journey with me and being interested in my art and world! I promise (as I promised that myself as well) that I'll get better and better with each passing month!

This piece encompasses that mentality well in my opinion, and I feel proud to have closed 2023 with such a piece. As in the last one, its looseness is what I like the most about it, both with its lineart as well as with its colors, adding lots of little color notes of contrasting colors here and there to make it visually more appealing. Those blue shades in the red paint for example are something that has just enhanced the whole piece a lot, or the scribbly brushstrokes all over the piece. This is something that I picked up from Moebius himself - it works so good.

I'll be honest, the roof tiles almost drove me crazy in the beginning though. I won't go into details as to how many versions I tried out, but let's say there were about 5 versions^^
To be completely open, I strongly thought about throwing the whole piece away, as an artist is also defined by their ability to call something off and restart entirely. What held me back from doing that and lead me to push through was actually all of you, as I've posted the sketch and all my thoughts already :) as right now, I'm really proud of this piece, I am grateful that I get to post here which makes me committed to each piece!

Maybe that is a lesson to take with me into 2024 ;)

Wishing you an amazing new year, with all that is going on in the world, I hope that you can do and receive good things in your own little world, as this will improve the whole world on a large scale the most in the longrun. Remember to shine for others, however small that light is or how hard to attain the fuel to shine is - this is what makes this world a better place. And dream a little from time to time, a little daydreaming is never wrong ;D
