Japan is about to release radioactive water into the ocean and "Tritium" was a cute character designed to make it all seem less scary... people complained and "Tritium" has been canned.

Tough call to make, but unfortunately necessary. The one thing in everyone's favour is the high dilution factor. As unpleasant as it is to think about, releasing it into the ocean will mitigate much of the harmful effects.

Tritium, 3H, an isotope of Hydrogen, is a Beta decay element. Really safe outside the body. Inhaled or ingested can be a problem in large amounts. ......... not something to joke about, but something to educate yourself about. Beta particles cannot even penetrate the first layer of your skin.
