Uboa - Empathy Fatigue
Added 2024-02-05 17:15:31 +0000 UTCI recorded a lot of demo versions of the live sets for Perth last year, one of which (for radio) would become Empathy Shield. I often like to record jams to remember/catch improvised ideas in the moment, to analyse my mixing and playing and finally so I can post them here.
I just found this buried in the ableton live session for the set I played in Perth ('empathy shield live'). It's a bit shorter and much more 'chill' and ambient, which in some ways I kinda prefer to the hodge-podge of Empathy Shield. It sounds pretty good for a recording straight from the master bus. If I ever do Empathy Shield tapes (although tapes are getting more and more difficulty to do in Australia due to absurd shipping costs) this would likely take up side B.
For now, it's another noise diary entry. Indeed, it's kinda a hidden capsule of that time. I think I have a few of these lying around. If they are too similar, I'll add it to this entry.
