Uboa - The Apocalypse of True Love

Here is the final song of the upcoming split. Like the previous two, the mixing is still in the air as I await feedback for it. It's a long one, and a pretty emotional one at that. It details the end of the story where Evelyn - fully realising her powers - comes back to save April from the base she is being interrogated at. Evelyn likely brings about the end of the world with her powers, so the title is literal. It's both quite dark but quite hopeful.

It's a more musical and 'accessible' number, even more so than 'Paredoilia Shadow', with the second half being along the lines of Health, Swans, Einstruzende and NIN all combined. It was originally meant to be two seperate tracks, but the two halves sounded incomplete without each other.

If you liked the Flesh of the World (both the song and the EP) then this might be for you.

It was also a monster to mix with 70 tracks. So.... let me know if there's any mixing weirdness (I havn't listened to this mixdown as frankly I've heard the song 50 times by now and my ears are *tired*.

A lot of these tracks are various layers of noise and many layers of "anthemic""" vocals, usually with FX overdubs. Worse, I did like 5 takes of each vocal line + comping which only added to the headache. It has two drum machines, baritone guitars and like 20 layers of noise for the crescendo. So yeah, mixing suggestions are welcome - but this is a nightmare I myself create (lol).

Sorry about the lack of posting, especially noise school. As you could probably tell, this was taking a lot of my time (and sleep).

Anyway, this is certainly ...a song. It is also the one that is the most similar to the upcoming record. Finally, while this story arc is concluded, I aim to do more in the same universe.
