Uboa - The Origin (Deaf) (Live on Behind The Mirror)

Here is a live-to-radio set played on Behind The Mirror, the noisey industrial hour on RTR 92.1 FM, a radio station in Perth/Boorloo.

It's probably one of my best-sounding recorded live sets I've ever done, and is even a strong candidate for an official Bandcamp release (let me know in comments if you agree).

It makes heavy use of drones from this 1998 sample cd, famous for its use in the ambient sound design of Silent Hill 2. There's also samples from Splice, field recordings in stormwater drains, Hentai ASMR podcasts from the Internet Archive mangled with ppooll, and electromagnetic field recordings made with the Ether.

The title of it (as always, given retroactively) refers to the final part of the piece (you'll see). The voice in with Nattljud (the host) referring to "going into something scary" was me giving the host the choice on what direction the set would start in like a choose-your-own noise-adventure (choices were: scary, noisey or melodic, 'scary' was chosen as the start point).

No editing of the performance instrumentally has taken place, however it is here remastered (with and without the voice intro) with some fixes to some volume jumps, some annoying hi-end frequencies as well as general mastering to make it sound better.
