The first time doing this I have no idea what to do bear with me.
Progress: I am nearing completion of scene four. I just need to write the choices which could take me a day or two.
Rewriting (?): I've been thinking of perhaps rewriting the end of scene three because it feels anti-climatic to me. I want Crowny to potentially leave in a more 'oh fuck' way... but I want to finish episode 9 before I go there.
Curated stuff: apparently newsletters have this section so I guess I'll tell ya'll want movies/books/music I've been consuming recently and recommend.
Crimson Peak (movie): a gothic romance and ghost story set in the early 20th century about an American woman marrying an English man and going to live in his decrepit mansion. TW: incest.
What I liked: the atmosphere is chef's kiss, the romance between the married couple is adorable and the male lead has the Byronic hero thing going for him
What I disliked: wish it was longer and I would change the ending but the ending it has isn't horrible, it's pretty good just not my fave.
Tesis (movie): a spanish language film released in 1996 about a young woman who's doing her thesis about audiovisual violence. She finds a videotape that shows a gruesome crime committed on a schoolmate who disappeared years before.
What I liked: the romance in this movie is very dark and they have a lot of chemistry. I also think the female protagonist is very interesting in her duality between disliking violence and being attracted to it.
What I disliked: her sidekick male friend annoyed me sometimes and I wish we knew more about the method of the killer.
The Shining (book): I feel like I don't need to say much about this one. Most people know about the basic plot.
What I liked: the setting and the explanation of the psychic ability the young child has.
What I disliked: The main male lead and sometimes the female lead was written a bit too much like r/menwritingwomen.
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow (book): spanning 3 decades this is a story about two video game developers who form an intense relationship through the stories they create and the tragedy of their lives.
What I liked: the time periods it spanned and getting into how much work is done to create video games as well as learning some history. I loved how flawed the main characters were. They felt so real.
What I disliked: how annoying the characters could feel because they were so real and also we spent a lot of time on their quarrels.

He wipes at the dust with a napkin and reads, “Dead Or Not?”
Lorcan responds with his mouth full, “oh yeah. Gran’s got a lot of weird games.”
Imre looks at the cover art of purple skies, cartoon bats around silhouette barren trees surrounding a concrete road leading to a cemetery off in the distance.
“Who fancies a game?” He asks.
Nia raises a quizzical brow, “you want us to play a board game? Us?”
Imre wipes his other hand and moves the pizza box off the table. “What real objection do any of you have apart from the fact that it’s strange to do something so normal?”
